Buying the dress for my daughter was a beautiful experience however Going for alterations was a completely different experience. The ladies working there were passively attacking each other with little comments like "you're not done" or criticizing each other work and the dirty looks omg! I've never been so uncomfortable. And the price was ridiculous. Almost $550 for hemming and bustle with the diamond's discount and buying the dress with David's bridal. I think was over price.

I am absolutely disgusted with David’s Bridal Manchester, CT. I Paid well over $500 for alterations which is an issue in itself. I Had an appt for a final fitting today, came to my appt and there wasn’t anyone there for alterations. My dress doesn’t fit and my wedding is 3weeks away. I also asked for the hem of my dress to be saved so I could wrap it around my bridal bouquet and they threw it away instead. I will never go to this place again. The unnecessary stress they have caused is appalling. Not to mention how unorganized this place is and also very dirty. I literally have no other choice this close to my wedding but to stay with them. I can hands down thank them for ruining what should be a happy and exciting experience.

Horrible! Overbooked on appointments, attendant didn't help at all, there wasn't even enough dressing rooms for our party. Shoulder to shoulder, waited an hour in line to check out and ended up buying the dress online. Go during the week or not at all

I bought my dress here and the experience was lacking. Despite making me fill out a questionnaire ahead of the meeting, the consultant I had did not have anything pulled for me. This would have been fine except for the fact that the consultant pulled a few dresses I picked out and then left us on our own for the whole appointment. My MOH helped me in and out of the dresses. We had to hunt her down to help pull another dress.
It was a weeknight and totally empty, so not like they were too busy. I liked my dress and was on a budget, so it is what it is, but if you are expecting a traditional bridal shop experience or ANY guidance from a consultant, I would say go elsewhere.
Also, AVOID ALTERATIONS HERE. I am using someone else for my alterations, but my sister used this location and they were horrible. Stray threads everywhere, an uneven bustle, plus they took her dress in when they were supposed to let it out and basically shrugged their shoulders and told her they 'weren't sure' if they could let it out enough anymore. Didn't even offer a partial refund or anything. My sister ended up panic losing weight so it fit at the final appt.

Veronica and Vinnette were phenomenal! Overall great experience after I almost made the mistake of letting a local person chop my dress.
My experience with David’s bridal was mostly phenomenal but the Florida location I visited had an aggressive sales person who almost turned me off to the whole brand. I’m really really happy I gave them another shot in my home state of Connecticut. The Manchester location was phenomenal, from the store manager who came to chat at my fitting to the door greeters who are always so nice and excited for me. Thanks for making my special day so extra special!!! I’m so in love with my dress 🤩🤩 will update with pictures after my destination wedding next month 😍😍😍

Terrible experience. My daughter completed the survey in advance but when we arrived her consultant had nothing pulled for her. She told us to “browse” around and take pictures of styles we liked. She didn’t ask any questions and displayed little interest in helping identify dresses to try on. It felt like we were completely on our own. She was then shown to a dressing room alone to tackle putting the dresses on. Poor service, poor experience. We left disappointed and will not return.

I would give more stars because my initial visit to find my dress was nice. But after that when I had my alterations appointment, I wish I would have gone somewhere else. Made me feel bad for not being able to change my appointment time, had an employee there standing awkwardly watching as I was getting my dress altered…didn’t introduce herself or anything, it honestly felt weird and slightly creepy. I guess once you have your dress paid for and no longer need them, you become chopped liver. I should have listened to the other reviews and stayed away.

Honestly, this was the best bridal experience I had shopping for dresses. I went to a “bridal boutique” right before coming here and they were very disinterested in helping me because I wasn’t willing to buy a dress that wasn’t in their clearance section and even made rude comments about my financials when I asked about alterations, needless to say I did not get a dress there and walked out.
I went to David’s bridal afterwards and it was a total 180. They were friendly the second I walked in the door, I got a welcome bag, the spiel and sent out to find dresses that I was interested in and told exactly what my options were based on my budget (of which there were plenty both regularly priced and in the clearance section). I ended up picking 6 dresses to try based on what I wanted, I was told anything that didn’t have sleeves could be added, alterations would be made etc. The first dress I tried on ended up being THE dress. I knew it was the one because it made my very unemotional sister cry the second I walked out in it, I hadn’t even seen what I looked like yet but in her words “this dress looks like it was literally made for you”. It screams me and my personality. I ended up coming back a second time with my bridesmaids to surprise them with the dress and they had no idea, I walked out in it and they loved it without knowing I had already bought it. I wanted to thank the staff at David’s bridal especially Kiara for all their help in making this very non girly girl feel like an absolute princess through this entire ordeal and helping me pull off the surprise for my bridesmaids.
Update: Now that who I only assume is the manager of alterations isn’t standing over my shoulder pressuring me to write a good review and my wedding is over, I can be more honest about some of what I experienced. Honestly I loved the sales team who helped me with my dress and Vinnette who finished altering my dress at the end of it all.
I didn’t appreciate the alterations managers attitude towards me or the other alterations employees from start to end. I don’t remember her name but she wore glasses and had a high pitched voice. I came in for my first fitting and had taken some time off work to be able to do so, while she was setting up my appt for the first come back fitting, she gave me one date and one time. I explained to her that I had work and asked if I could come back another day later on (they ended up cancelling my appt anyways and pushing it back a month because someone had Covid) and she rolled her eyes at me and told me “I guess you’re going to have to take a day off” extremely sarcastically, walked off to do something else ignoring me entirely and offered me no other options. The attitude was like this every time I visited until my last pick up appt when she was suddenly so sweet and pressuring me for a nice review. Not to mention she yelled at the woman doing my original alterations for trying to take a minute to go to the bathroom after finishing my fitting.
The alterations were severely wrong the first time and honestly I should have taken it somewhere else to get them done considering how much it cost to have them done here. Vinette took over and was able to save my dress, though there was zero work done to fix any of the beading on the dress that was coming off (only noticeable by me) and no bustle was added but I was also never asked.
I originally was supposed to get a corset back but the first alterations person told me I didn’t need it to make it fit. In the end, I needed 2 panels added and the arm holes widened, and it’s an heavily detailed/embroidered dress so it required extra care because of that. The first alterations persons basically butchered the dress, the boning was stabbing me, she didn’t even fix the sleeves and Vinette saved my dress in the end. I still appreciate her so much for all her help in fixing it.
