All dollar generals close at 10pm, so why would they close their doors at 9:50. Striaght up dumb ! And the cashiers are mad rude.

The two Dollar General stores in Manchester have become run down and filthy. So filthy that I actually just walked in, then immediately out, of each store due to the fact that the floors were caked with dirt, garbage of food and chicken bones, was overflowing the cans onto the ground, and rat traps were visible in several areas. No way would I bring anything from these stores into my home for fear of bringing in "unwanted guests" along with purchased merchandise.

Rude customer service ask simple question from one of the red hair manager and she gave me a whole attitude telling me to look around also while cashing out she’s to busy talking to employees than helping me out

I had a pretty nice experience until I was checking out. The cashier seemingly nice was ringing me out and I scanned my apple pay and she glared at me. wondering what she was staring at me about I asked her, she said did you pay? I said yes and she said oh I must’ve canceled the order… I wanted to add one more thing on as I noticed there was some really pretty flowers at the register that one of her coworkers is putting away I decided to add them on. Thinking does she already canceled my order she scanned the other item and then the receipt printed. I thought she had avoided the first order when she said it was canceled but I noticed there was a coupon on it and I asked her if I could use. she said she would have to rering all my items and then use the coupon again. so I said no that’s OK (that’s a lot of work anyways) and she apologized but honestly my total would’ve been $25 and I could’ve use the coupon to save some money if I added a few more things I noticed she had a line so I didn’t want to inconvenience her. I just said that’s OK I’ll use it next time. Now me still thinking the order is canceled I waited until the kiosk had shown the additional item I had added on which it didn’t she continued to stare at me and was wondering where I stood there. I kept explaining I need to pay with Apple Pay for the additional item when she was holdingthe receipt I noticed it wasn’t avoiding it was the receipt with all of the items including the additional one and she had proceeded to tell me no I rang everything out and then gave me the receipt and said I was wondering why you were still waiting here sarcastically to my face while the other people were in the back of the line. I’m sorry Dollar General but you need to do better. this kind of customer service makes me upset because not only is it hurtful and embarrassing to have this kind of experience but on top of that your employees don’t even explain what they’re doing and then making customers feel bad.It’s a holiday and she totally ruined my mood. I picked up my things and said OK thank you and left. it’s not fair that I should be treated this way when they’re also messing up and making me feel bad and not explaining things to me that they’re doing right away while at the register. I came here for one small experience and ended up feeling miserable after that entire experience simply because the woman was rude.

Rude nasty employees who could care less. Prices that never ring up correctly. Google it, it’s a nationwide, known issue with as high as 88% error rate. And knowing this issue, do they increase transparency? No, not at all, in fact, you aren’t allowed to see the prices at all as things are rung up. Not until you are handed a receipt can you find out if your items were misrung, unless you ask the cashier to read them aloud. So not only do they have an incredibly high error rate, they do everything they can to hide it as well: it’s THEFT! Google it. It’s all true. And when you have them correct it, at this store, they try to shame you and put you down because how dare you ask for the price, as advertised. And to top it off, this store is a complete and total mess. The manager should be ashamed. If I could give no stars I would because this place doesn’t even deserve one.

I use to pick this store out of every convenience store in the area. Times have changed and this store is nothing like when The 2 Kelly’s (the man and woman) ran it. It was clean and the shelves stayed stocked and the workers had great morals and decency. Now, the shelves aren’t stocked good, supplies cart and empty cardboard boxes stay on the floor, and a few of the workers always smell like strong weed. I’m embarrassed for them.

Only waited a half hour for my dog biscuits and lactaid milk today. I didn’t mind because I got to chat up this hot girl named Lauren while in line. She was buying a grape tomatoes and a loofah. We really hit it off lol. This place is definitely improving!

Giving this store a -1 stars. Used to be a great store when first opened, now I cannot say the same. Store associates are junky, un professional, and act dumb founded when issues occur at check out. It’s an easy job, so it should be an easy going check out. Store is semi stocked most days. New management would be tremendously helpful for this location.

The heavy set masculine Puerto Rican woman with tattoos was very nasty and rude..she needs to learn how to communicate with customers! I asked her if I can make an exchange without a receipt and she became very aggressive. All I needed was a yes or no answer. I just ended up making a separate purchase to avoid altercations with thr very aggressive cashier
