“We've visited while in the area. And again decided to return. As they have the best selection of wines anywhere in CT. Definitely a place to visit. Both the owner and another gentlemen working there. Very personable and knowledgeable. Look forward to coming back.”
“There appears to be decent overnight parking on the main rd (Chapel Rd) before you turn into Hartford Distributors. I had 12noon appt. arrived 08:00am. Had to wait till 11:30am to get a dock door. If you’re appt is not early then I recommend waiting till after 10:00 am to arrive to allow the Budweiser local delivery trucks to clear out. There is a clean port-a-potty on the property and the staff were all very helpful. Backing into dock 11 was pretty easy (approach blindside then u-turn counterclockwise).”
“I lived in Manchester from 1974-80. Discovered Brown's as a fledgling wino. Drank Bordeaux which was affordable back then even for a young guy (early 20s). Brown's let me run a tab which I paid promptly each payday. Two guys: one early 40s who I think was a high school or college teacher, the other a bit younger than I. His name was Walter, I'm sure. They were great, so friendly. So much so that they gave me an expensive bottle of burgundy as a farewell gift before I returned to my tribe in Illinois. The store, especially the wine department, looks remarkably the same.A very special place in my life.P.S. There was also a pizza place just west of Brown's, same side of the turnpike. The owner, Chris?, also let me run a tab. Thanks. Hope all of you are well. The only sad thing is I now drink Vella or Franzia boxed chardonnay - through a straw. Depressing.I read a previous post praising a guy named Walter. Can he be the same Walter I remember from way back? Could be. Maybe he owns the place now. Please advise. Thanks.”
“Best liquor store in the area hands down!! Excellent customer service, awesome craft beer selection especially for a neighborhood store . So many great ipas, dipas, sours & more!”
“Best package store in Manchester. The owner hospitality is very welcoming. It's like he knows all his customers. Every time you walk in, he greets you with a smile. It's like walking into cheers in Boston where everybody knows your name. I rather go here than anywhere else, so that says a lot.”
“Been going here for years. Good prices and the employees are hilarious. Right on main st its your one stop shop before you adventure. Also there is pokestops galore!!!”

238 N Main St, Manchester“There are better stocked places around but, they always have the craft beer i am looking for and good options. Occasionally i run into a pleasant surprise such as the recent 12 yr old Appleton Estate. Staff is attentive, friendly, scope if knowledge limited to stock”

509 Center St, Manchester“Very nice owners very clean store and they usually have what I want and if not they said they could order it. They have a huge selection of beers they even have CBD drinks without alcohol. They also have chasers and soda to make mixed drinks. The store is large and very easy to find what you’re looking for and well lit. The owner always will help you find what you need. ??Definitely better than Brown’s package store. Brown’s package looks like there was a flood inside, it’s all nasty. Also the owner is very rude. The store is very dark and confusing and nobody wants to help you.”
“Just stopped in for the first time and had a nice chat with Adam about bourbon, rum, and gin. Great, personable staff and nice pricing and I look forward to return visits. As always, locally owned liquor stores are just better than the chains.”

654 Center St, Manchester“Oxford Liquors has a wide selection for a store that looks tiny on the outside. It's much larger than it looks. The staff here are always friendly and helpful. I don't go anywhere else.”
“It is one of the finest liquor stores in the city. The collection is addictive. The Cigars are also great.Crockery is slightly over priced but Quality is great. Please carry your original hard copy Identity Card, as they mostly check while billing.”
“Best liquor store in the area by far unless you want to drive to Total wine which you totally don't. Great beer selection they keep the new IPAs in stock. Try some stuff from six point brewery, especially Resin. 92% on beer reviews! My current favorite IPA.”
