Thank God for this shop!! My husband originally brought our car to AAMCO and was given a price of over $8000 for a rebuilt transmission. I called another shop (because I know nothing about cars) to get a rough estimate. They gave me a price of $4100 so I called for a tow to get car to other place....well thankfully car was brought to Manchester Transmissions by accident but they got us in and were so honest about what was going on with car!! Kept me informed every step of the way and final price was about $1700!!!!! NOW THAT IS A WIN!!! We know who to go to now for sure

im sure they know exactly whats wrong with your transmision but they are also extremely expensive. the tranny on my car had a bad valve body. i was told $3k with a rebuilt valve body. i ordered a brand new one from nissan for $1k. labor cost me $400 from another great garage. the car shifts great. on a side note, the owner said "you get what you pay for".

Can't say enough good things about this place! Jay is very honest and resourceful. He gave me updates on the car every step of the way and was happy to show me what they were doing.They took on a difficult project for an obscure 80s car with no issue. They went above and beyond with repairing this car and I couldn't be happier! I'd recommend Manchester Transmissions to anyone and would certainly use them again. Thank you Jay, Lincoln, and everyone else who worked on the car!

Took my 2020 explorer there with a significantly hard downshift. Jay researched and found out the vehicle was still barely in warranty and recommended a Ford dealer he had a good relationship with. He could have easily just quoted the transmission work and I would have never been the wiser - refreshing to see there are still honest shops. Will definitely be returning should I ever have a need out of warranty.

I talked to Jay. They are so honest I highly recommend you go there if you have tranny problems. He could have told me anything. He could have charged me Any thing I would have no idea. But he did not do that. He said it Will cost a lot of money to rebuild it’s ok to keep driving it. I so appreciate his honesty. The tranny is not slipping and is changing gears ok but the check engine light gave me a transmission code. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Great honest place to take your car. I HIGHLY recommend this place. 20 sheldon Rd Manchester Ct this place is legit.

Civic transmission issues..Jay and Lincoln immediately took car and evaluated issues. Great help. Being rebuilt now. Huge savings vs finding a rebuilt trans. 2nd time in now fixing alternator and belt

How are the reviews of this place even remotely positive. Needed a $25 dollar sensor changed and was quoted a grand for supposedly many hours of work and a 1000% marked up part. Are people really that stupid with their money. This kind of shop feeds off ignorant people and those who have too much money to burn. Don’t even get me going on what a swindler Jay is! I’ve concluded the regular positive reviews are from people with too much money and no knowledge of a fair price! Learn from this and go somewhere else! I hope this saves future customers who don’t know better from getting swindled for easily double the cost of what it should be. And in my case, even more!

Great experience about a month ago getting my front axle replaced. Very communicative the whole time and got the job done in a timely fashion. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Manchester transmissions literally saved me thousands of dollars over what the dealership wanted to charge me for a repair and that repair was only a symptom.
Manchester Transmissions found the source of my problem fixed it and fixed the problem the dealership said I had.
I hope I never have a car problem ever again, but if I do, Manchester Transmissions is the only place I will go to.

We had a very positive experience dealing with Jay from Manchester Transmissions. He explained to us what the issue was and gave us a couple of options as to what we could do to solve the problem. The job took four days to complete, and Jay made sure to touch base with us a few times over the course of that time to give us regular updates. Our vehicle was ready to be picked up a day early, which made us very happy. We would highly recommend using Manchester Transmissions.
