While visiting my daughter, a first-time mom, in Manchester, CT, I decided to shop for my first granddaughter. This store was well-stocked and relatively clean; there were three young female employees. No one approached us to offer assistance. No problem! I ordered clothing online on Sept. 29 and had them shipped to this store for pickup. My daughter went on Oct. 7 at 6:45 p.m., and the store was closed for the day. The store was supposed to be open until 8 p.m.It was picked up the next day, Sunday, Oct 8.A second online order was to be ready for pickup on Oct 9th. Got to the store, during the morning hours, there were four young employees standing together talking about their love lives. We asked about the order and we were told that there were boxes that needed to be opened and the items separated, but it was goingnyo be too much work and to come back another day! let's hope the order is ready today or tomorrow. There are too many competitive children's stores available and The Children’s Place in Manchester CT can be avoided.

Staff too busy talking with each other. I needed assistance with reaching corporate and I waited in line for 25 minutes for assistance and finally left. Didn’t follow appropriate mask wearing. They were not customer focused

Buckland location is over loaded!! I just went in to look at dresses and literally couldn't get my stroller through the isles. Had to back out knocking into racks just to leave. You would think a clothing store for children would be stroller friendly.

Place cash is a joke and the sales associates could care less about losing a loyal customer. I spoke with an assoc. the day after the coupon expired and was told they don't honor after the printed date. I called back and asked for contact info for the D.M. and the mgr. got on the phone. Point is a person still has to spend cash to redeem the coupon. So this tells me that they will not be in business for too much longer because a sale is a sale and the customer should be serviced as so. Last purchase they offered a credit card and I'm really glad I declined. Bye Bye Children's Place!

"Do not go gently into that good night" is the theme of the current iteration of the old Pavilions. It's probably doomed when the Sears and JC Penney anchor stores eventually fold (yes, there's still a Sears here and no, there's no evidence anyone cares) but it's putting up a good fight. On the old school-shopper upside, it has both Forever 21 (bankrupt but still operating stores) and H&M, so somebody hopes to attract bright young things. There are also a decent array of the kind of stores teens shopped at in the 90s, plus an Icing, which I thought had vanished with the bankruptcy of Claire's. (This place is such a tour of "I thought that brand was dead" that I wouldn't have been surprised to see a Miller's Outpost.) There are brands of clothing you've never heard of unless you're a connoisseur of urban-wear (in which case, awesome!) and some you've never heard of at all. The Shoppes is pursuing the strategy of offering small local stores and organizations affordable rent to keep spaces filled, so there are almost enough gaming, comic, and RPG stores to start planning a convention, along with a Lego exchange. This makes it more entertaining to me that the impersonally glossy power strips surrounding it, as a dollar store (yes, there's a dollar store!) or off-brand toy store offers more chance of finding something unusual. Most of the usual suspects for taking over mall space already have spots in the power-strip hill-fortresses surrounding this mall, so the best shot for replacing Sears when it goes may be a swap meet. It's not the worst place in the world to go for a specific thing (you'll get a good parking spot) and it's got more vitality than some of Connecticut's other dying malls, but it's a long way from its glamour in the days when people shopped at enclosed malls on purpose.

A giant mall full of useless cheap crap. I am not a snob, these stores are loaded with garbage, all of them.

Very nice mall that is easy to navigate. Several small stores that were very interesting to shop in. What were like about coming here are not only the stores in the mall, but all the stores and restaurants that are nearby. If you can't find what you are looking for at the Mall, I am sure you can find it in a surrounding shop.

Pretty good mall, I go here quite frequently. Personally I do see many stores I enjoy here like Victoria's Secret and American Eagle, but I would like to see some stores like Brandy Melville, PacSun l, and Urban Outfitters make an entrance at this mall. As much as I like it, there are some cons, for instance, the layout of the mall is interesting. There are quite many zig zags through the mall. Something that I really find strange about the mall though is that the most popular stores are found in the midst of the mall and the ends of mall are sort of dead zones with the only well known stores over there being Macy's or JcPenny. Overall, this mall is great but as I said before there are some cons to it.

I have one store I like at the Buckland Hills Mall. The best part is, there's always plenty of parking and plenty of entrances. Today, I took the time to see if there were any other stores that would be of interest to me. This mall has always been weird to me. The zig zag walk ways are so bizarre. If you want to get a store across the way, you had to zig zag to get to it. Perhaps it was designed to be architecturally unique? There are so many empty stores and empty spaces. Even the stores that are there are sparsely filled with inventory. There are stores I never even heard of. My guess is, online shopping has killed the actual shopping experience. Kind of sad, as I remember taking the time going to the mall as a family. I did cover a lot of space, got my steps in, but came home empty handed.

My first time at this time mall was this past weekend. It is a nice, standard mall which your regular anchor stores and food court. There was a lot of parking. Great mall just to get what you want and leave.

Can you remove the outdated tables from the food court. It would be nice note to stick to the tables when you eat.
