The Portal is a fantastic local game store and the best gaming shop in CT. It is an awesome LGS with friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff who provide excellent customer service. The store has a fantastic and large selection of everything, including the largest selection of board games in the region, CCGs, specialty cards, packs, and miniatures galore. It offers plenty of space with a large gaming room, lots of table space, a demo boardgame room, and a back room for full-scale tabletop battles with 3D landscapes. Weekly events are held for a wide range of games, including Friday Night Magic, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar tournaments, and specialist games like Warmaster. It is a perfect and fun place to play.
Solid prices for sealed product and all singles are at market. I've found them to be the best priced store for singles in the area.
It's hit or miss on how approachable/findable the staff are. If you make enough noise someone is sure to come out and help you.

Good gaming store. If they dont have it and its something that they can get. They will order it for you. There is also usualy a good croud of people in the back to play a game you have been wanting to try. Best crouds are sunday between 12-6. And thursdays after 4.
