Picked up an inexpensive phone for my elderly father in law and was told the only charge was a one time activation fee and $6 a month on the monthly statements for the phone. Unbeknownst to me, I then get an email saying I was signed up for a ‘device protection’ plan for $16 a month. Having no knowledge of that, I called the store and of course nobody answers the phone so I left a VM. More than 24 hours later, still no call back. Interesting because when I was there, they would answer the phone every time someone called and were then unavailable for 5 minutes or so for each call. If you do get a phone there, ensure they don’t sign you up for a device protection plan that you’re unaware of!

I went there tonight 12/18 and was the only one in the store. The employee didn't acknowledge me. I had to ask if he worked there. I told him I was interested in getting a new phone. He suggested the iPhone 16 so I asked him how much extra it would be on my bill and he could not tell me. He told me it would be over a hundred dollars no matter what phone I went with but would change every month due to "changes in taxes". I asked again for some numbers and he again refused. He could tell I was getting frustrated and told me I was being rude. I said I have been a Verizon customer for years and have never had a rep tell me they couldn't give me prices.
I then left and went to the south Windsor Verizon and was greeted with enthusiasm and the employee immediately told me my bill would be an additional $3.82 a month which would come out to 75.64 a month if I went with the iPhone 16. (Not over a 100 like the Manchester Verizon guy said!) I exclaimed what happened at the Manchester store and he said the guy was probably adding additional costs like bundles not being transparent.
I can't believe how dishonest the employee was. He said he was the manager. Do yourself a favor and go to the south Windsor store.

Chris mislead us about the price of the unlimited plan. When we went back to resolve the issue, they blamed it on taxes (not the issue). Gave us the runaround, and showed no accountability for Chris’s errors and dishonesty.

Terrible experience. Deceptive practices and unhelpful staff made resolving issues impossible. Avoid this location, and Verizon in general.
