I received an automated text from CVS that my prescription H was ready. I have two prescriptions that begin with H, so I called. After taking care of the one, "H" prescription, I asked to look at the second "H" that I have in the system.I was told that I was cutting into his lunch hour. "Ma'am, you are cutting into my lunch hour." I tried to say, "but can we handle the other prescription?" I was told, rudely, "Ma'am, you are cutting into my lunch hour". He then hung up on me. This was at 1:31pm at the Royce Circle location, over the telephone.

(The following event took place on 1/30/23 at about 10:30 in the morning). The manager of this store can't think for himself and do the right thing. I purchased a home covid test for forty dollars and then drove five miles to another store to pick up a prescription. A few minutes after buying the CVS test, I was able to get four free kits from Medicare at the second pharmacy. I immediately drove the five miles back to the CVS and explained why I would like a refund for the test kit I had just purchased. The woman at the register was in agreement, but wanted to get input from her supervisor who listened to my story and agreed a refund was the right thing to do. Before refunding my forty dollars, he called for the store manager to finalize the refund. The problem was - some dishonest people buy the test kit and then have insurance reimburse them and then return the kit for a refund. The store manager did not take into account that a seventy-seven year old retired school teacher living on an adequate pension would not try to cheat the system out of forty dollars. My point is, good managers know when an exception to a rule is the right thing to do verses managers that follow the rules blindly with no thought to the Golden Rule - treat people as you want to be treated. The manager knew I wasn't trying to scam the company - he said so himself - yet he was unable to act as a reasonable, thinking individual and do what he would want if his father was in my situation. I don't appreciate wasting forty dollars and being at the effect of an uncaring and robot like individual - and the store manager was just that, uncaring and unable to summon the courage to do the right thing.

By far the most friendly CVS employees I've ever encountered. The store is well stocked. I look forward to my next trip

OK. We go to CVS to get supplements, medication, etc... all to better our health, heal our wounds/illnesses, and in hopes of improving our o era LL quality of life by engaging in healthcare and self care. Yet now, during a global pandemic, the evening cashier (mid to late twenties, blind/died hair, numerous nose piercings) LEAVES her mask covering her mouth yet not her nose. This wasn't an accident - such as it may have slipped - it remained this way for the entire 25 minutes we were in the store !!! Obviously, the assistant manager/manager who was there - engaging in preparations for closing- didn't care at all. He never spoke to her about it even when he continually looked at her, interacted with her, and discussed other topics. So how now should we trust the commitment or seriousness they may experience when cleaning the commonly touched areas, restrooms, or even their own hand hygiene? I guess we can't. What an example for a national chain to provide when examples are greatly needed. Will utilize other pharmacies from now on.

This place is very overpriced, however it makes sense because it's the closest convenience store and pharmacy in a college campus. The shop is very well lit and conveniently located on the corner of the downtown area. Service is typically pleasant. I wouldn't recommend this place for school supplies if you're from UConn; you may as well just shop at the Bookstore or Union C-Store because it's closer and is equally priced.

I've been to this CVS multiple times. While they're decently sized and have a lot of selection, per usual for CVS they're overpriced for almost everything. It's insane how much they think they can charge. My major issue with this CVS, though, is the interactions with one of their pharmacists. I was put on a medication for a specific medical condition. I had some concerns and wanted to speak to the pharmacist. She couldn't really help me, but she mentioned that I should be thankful that I was on the medication I was and not another one because of all the "horrible side effects" she'd seen patients have with the other. Fast forward a few weeks and I wasn't able to tolerate the original medication and was placed on the one with the "horrible side effects" - which lead me to be absolutely terrified for the duration of my time on that medication. It turned out to be better for me and I really hated that the pharmacist terrified me of it. My parents both worked in the medical field and they were horrified that this woman would say some of what she said to me. I honestly don't recommend this CVS for almost anything. Check out the one at Four Corners instead (if you can).
