I love the bakery at Big Y. They have the most delicious paczki (Polish donuts but better) that are made to celebrate Fat Thursday but also very important is the customer service. PJ and the other staff in the bakery, are a pleasure to talk with because they have a friendly attitude and you leave smiling. I favor the flavor few like but is the best (more for me) the traditional prune. PJ and the staff offered to put two on the side for me until I could pick them up a few times. I gained 5 pounds but I give 5 stars and more for this bakery.

This store is quickly going downhill. Produce section especially. Organic rotten sour expensive grapes. Organic avocados that look perfect until you cut them open and find out that they're black in the middle. Mangoes that are rotten. Mushrooms that have been sitting there so long they smell like fish, only to have the customer service representative tell me that that's the way they're supposed to be because they're grown in mold. I had bought many mushrooms here that did not smell like fish. Packaged Celery and carrots being sprayed on by mist every 15 minutes to the point where they're waterlogged and ruined. Rotten watermelon. Bananas that look like somebody threw them down the stairs. 8 in the morning and lots of the produce shelves are empty. Customer service rep says it's my fault because I come in too early in the morning and they don't have time to empty the truck... Meanwhile, he was chatting for 20 mins with the soda guy in the middle of the store, and the other rep was standing by the strawberries texting on her cell phone. This is not the first time that I have experienced this lately. If I was the manager, they would all be fired.For the third time in a row they couldn't take credit cards at 8 o'clock in the morning. IN 2023...!!!?! Store reps said it was because they did not shut down the computers the night before... How is that my problem? Why does it keep happening?I have been shopping here exclusively since they opened. I'm going to start taking pictures and posting them.ATTENTION MANAGEMENT: FIX IT OR I TAKE MY $$$ ELSE WHERE.

Tell your produce manager... No! mushrooms are not SUPPOSED to smell like fish because they are grown in moss.Because that's what he's telling your customers.

The old white guy who is the manager needs to retire and be put in a nursing home. We briefly parked out front because my fiancé has a sprained ankle and he came running out (as fast as he's able to anyway) screaming at me and taking pictures of me/the car. Losing his mind. I think grandpa has dementia and needs to retire. We will never return to a big y again. Overpriced anyway.

2 days ago we called and ordered a deli party platter consisting of various deli meats from this Broad St Big Y location. We've ordered these deli platters before, they are always a great affordable option for a party. Anyways, the deli platter is not the issue here, I went this morning and picked it up...it was ready. My complaint is due to the lack of condiment packets. I asked for mustard and mayonnaise packets to go with the platter and was told they don't provide that. My question is... since when? Simply not true, we've ordered dozens of these deli platters from Big Y before and we were always provided with these. I decided to ask another employee when they stopped providing them, and this particular employee had no idea what I was talking about. I didn't argue with anyone and just gave up and went to the register to pay for my deli platter. I rate 2 stars for poor customer service and lack of knowledge from the employees. I should have asked for a manager but it wasn't that big of a deal, this is why I post my reviews here of both good and bad experiences.

There's no 0 star option but the night manager Roger had the nerve to not give me my last paycheck claiming that after a month they have no control of where my last check went. I asked how can that be legal and looked me in the eye and I quote "I've been working here too long to deal with you young lady" how in any way is that appropriate let alone professional. Can't wait for corporate to see this one and chat with me on other ways they treat people here!

Big Y has the best bakery. Had a ocean theme cupcake cake made for my grandsons 3rd birthday and it turned out fabulous! Buttercream frosting was delicious! Hats off to all your bakers!!

This review is for both theo in the deli and gia in customer service.... I felt They both worked very hard to make customers happy. Unfortunately, there are just some customers. You can't make happy no matter what you do, these 2 employees Really went the extra mile to make sure. I was happy and everybody that was in line Was happy as well I hope their manager's See this review and give them the kudos they deserve. Thank you for a job well done.

I like this place for quick stops. Quality very good, could be expensive for a full grocery shopping trip. Lines are usually short.
