JC Music is Connecticut's Band and Orchestra Headquarters. The shop has been the best spot around for decades, with a very friendly and helpful staff that is always pleasant to work with. They have everything for school music supplies, instrument rentals, repairs, and products. Their music lessons are highly recommended. They have many great, multi-talented, and knowledgeable instructors who make lessons enjoyable, fun, simple, and effective with instant positive reinforcement. The approach gets anyone playing as quickly as possible. The shop is also very flexible and understanding with scheduling. Students enjoy the annual showcases as a great way to put skills to the test. The service is excellent and unbelievable, with very friendly people. Experiences with instrument repairs, setups, and their consignment program are very simple and easy, resulting in positive experiences every time. For any instruments, lessons, repairs, or supplies, this is the place to go for sure.
I consigned a violin through them and they did a great job with the whole process. I feel like I got a good value for the instrument which was admittedly not in the best shape.

JC Music's Consignment Program is well known and highly recommended in CT. I brought in several items of sound equipment and was very courteously received. The pricing and paperwork were handled very professionally. Within 2 months, I had already received a check for the sale of one of those items.
