They are the most amazing and honest shop I have ever been to!! I recommend them to everyone. Being single female you become a little leary going to a mechanic. But I can tell you not once did I feel they are trying to get one over on me. Nothing but fair and honest!!

My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee engine suddenly died while driving at 65 mph on I91 near exit 17. I had to coast to a stop in the safety zone between the two highways. This at 9:30 at night. Geico roadside wanted to know where to tow Jeep. Since this happened about 80 miles from home I had to look for repair shops on Google. SAFE Auto Service at 281 East Main St in Meriden CT had an impressive listing with shop pictures and great reviews. So I had car towed to SAFE Auto Service. Got into their lot about 11 pm and slept in car until 6:30 morning. Man pulls up to open shop. Later found his name; Ken. So I ask Ken if it would be possible to take a look. He says he's got a lot of jobs promised, but he'd try to see what he could do. Ken put some chairs outside and told me and my boyfriend to take a rest. Figured we would be there the whole day. Come about 9:15 Ken comes over to say Jeep is ready!!! We couldn't believe it!!! Ken put us first and got us out. He replaced the crankshaft position sensor. And I was able to make my Doctors appt at 11:30!!! Great job, great shop and great mechanics. Highly recommend!!!

This is a great auto shop in the Meriden area, I came in for an oil change, they notice my car was sitting low they informed me my front shocks & springs were done for and advice me not to drive the car, to not cause further damage. ( I had just bought the car a month prior so I didn’t know) Repairs we’re affordable. I will be back for any other service I need in the future. Thank you guys!

Ken ( real nice guy, seemed very trustworthy) went above and beyond to accommodate my request for the type of replacement parts( struts & shocks) wanted.
Highly recommend ! Will be using them for any future repairs..

Our cars plastic splash guard underneath the car was loose. Took it to the Honda dealer the estimator would not even look under the car or put it on the lift. Said I needed a new splash guard with parts, labor and tax came to over 260. Took the car to Safe I explained what the problem was. Made the appointment brought the car in he took 10 minutes to fix the issue. Did not need a new splash guard just two plastic clips. Very honest and listens. Will be bringing my cars to him going forward.
