Great place, knowledgeable folks - not the quickest to help, but they are inside of a store that gets them a lot of foot traffic who isn't interested in audio equipment, so I think that makes sense. Carry some of the best brands in the business.

Take 5 Audio in Middlebury is the new location for a store I used to visit often in New Haven. The high quality audio equipment and customer service are fantastic. They have the best brands like McIntosh, Moon, Sonus faber, Dynaudio, etc. I spent some time auditioning Sonus faber speakers and eventually made a purchase. I am very happy with my experience.

I ordered some high quality WBT RCA plugs from the group at Take 5. They came VERY securely packaged with the receipt in the box. One "small" discrepancy was noted with the order and I was able to contact the customer service rep and they were able to resolve my issue without hesitation. I would 100% recommend Take 5 for their high quality standards and their top tier product catalog.

Take Five provided a home theater system with a 77 Sony OLED TV; marantaz receiver, Apple TV, Moon audio speakers, all integrated with Control 4. So with a single remote I can control watching TV, Streaming through Apple TV and listening to streaming music through Tidal. The remote has a touch screen and can change channels by voice or find shows to watch, by voice, on the Apple TV. It all works seamlessly, thanks to Marc the technician. Bob was responsible for the specifics of the various components to make my system look and sound extraordinary. He is very knowledgeable on that front and I highly recommend Take Five for any home theater and audio needs.

Came here after seeing some demo units they had listed for sale.Couldn't have been a better experience. Welcoming, no pressure, any questions answered, straight forward. Left with a set of towers after a demo session in their listening room. Even though this place is 5 hours from where I live I WILL be back!

Take 5 Audio offers an unparalleled audio shopping experience. Bob is an absolute gem - his vast knowledge coupled with his patience and kindness made all the difference in my buying journey. I was especially appreciative of the flexibility, being allowed to bring in my own speakers to decide on the perfect amplifier. And kudos to Ned as well! He was super accommodating, assisting me with unloading my speakers from the car. With Bob's expertise setting everything up, the process was seamless. A top-notch establishment with an exceptional team!

This review is from my father, “Murph” who had an EXCELLENT experience here!“My experience at Take 5 Audio took me in so many directions, one better than the next. I am a music listener of vinyl records dating back to 1972, my older Brother, Albert was sending equipment home from the military. Crazy time in America...My Technics 1300 Turntable was finally showing it's age and I emotionally put this heirloom turntable in the hands of Take 5 Audio, Ned and Bob received me like family, very rare today. Ned, the turntable repair expert and wonderful person, fitted a new Ortofon stylus and diagnosed, fixed, a habitual and very tricky loss of channel problem. My Brothers table was up and running beautifully and back home. I did cry, sorry...You see, Bob and Ned are "High End Audio Experts" yes they work with people that could buy anything but they worked with me, a regular guy and his 50 year old turntable...Life is too short, just go see them no matter who you are!!! I came with my son to buy a preamp as I used to do with my father for many years when Take 5 was in New Haven. I was greeted with attitude and judgment like I wasn’t worthy of their merchandise or time. An extremely embarrassing and uncomfortable experience. I was discouraged from listening to anything in the showroom. I felt unwelcome. I ended up going elsewhere. Bob if you want to talk feel free to contact me.

Best Class “ A “ audio store by far. 40 years shopping there for my audio needs.New MA-5300 and Pro-Ject platter and Ortifon 2M blue cartridge. Great service , fantastic set up at my house. Highly recommend take -5….thank you for bringing my vinyl music back to life by the way. Means a lot to me with my bro’s passing and his love of music building my old Mac and Mark Levinson system.Peace ✌️

Great store- they have top products at all price ranges. They are knowledgeable and have great customer service. They maintain great customer service and help answer questions or deal with glitches long after your purchase. They never pressure you to move forward on a purchase and they don't try to push you to gear above what you want or need. I think they are overall the best audiophile store I've ever experienced
