I visited the Lyman Orchards Golf Club to hits some balls on the driving range and had no complaints. The driving range area is pretty modest in size, so I imagine that it could fill up on a busy day, but I did not have an issue finding a spot when I visited in the late evening, an hour before closing.

Its a beautiful track. The best views you can find on a golf course in CT. I just don't understand why they mow down the rough around tee boxes, but not around the fairway. You get punished for good shots because they can't loop a cut.
