Vaccination clinic put my cats at risk by putting slip leads around their necks. Associate up front who helped carry my litter to my car heard me say "I work for a vet" and immediately followed with "Do you work at xx?" and named MY specific practice (NOT an easy first guess), proceeded to tell me how she worked there, how she was fired, and to just "do what I am told". Having this said to me OUTSIDE next to my CAR felt extremely invasive.
Vet staff complained about grooming staff doing their jobs in front of clients in a small room, highly unprofessional. Just never going to shop at a Petco again, this last experience was really the final straw.

The "vet assistant" Melissa doesn't know how to properly hold cats. Dr Brianna nor Melissa asked any background on my cat's or an examination, like the vet records state, before they started giving shots. Both of my cats come from a neglectful background. When they flinched from being POKED WITH A NEEDLE the DR. stated "if they're not going to sit still, were not doing this" and gave me a nasty side eye, as if it was my fault and like cats are just supposed to sit still for shots?? If you're going to be in the vet profession you should know not every hold works on every animal, and that's why it's important to get to know your clients. I was told I needed to pay for the vaccines I didn't receive before I left. I was not offered an alternative. The entire experience was the worst I've had at Petco and I would not recommend going if Brianna Lager is the "Doctor". Horrible experience.

Mass breeding of small birds in breeding mills is done to sell at this store (and other locations). They don’t even provide the proper toys or food for their conures. Should be considered animal abuse.
