“I've been coming here for a few years now and I have loved it. Great selection. The customer service has always been good, but not very friendly. All that has changed now that they have Delaney (sp?). Her customer service skills are top notch: friendly, asking probing questions to determine what is best for the customer, and just a simple smile and warmth which goes a long way. I was very impressed.”

“Lots of stock in this little store, though definitely expensive, but "that's the price for doing business on Main St", everyone keeps telling me. And it's not just Middletown. Too bad it's this way, I would definitely shop "Main Street" if it was more affordable. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, the big dog was Sweet, greeting everyone who came in”

“I have been purchasing at least 5 pounds of tobacco every month for the past 15 months and I have been satisfied with the quality of the Leaf Only products.I'm surprised to see all the negative reviews. I think those negative reviews may be coming from customers who are expecting perfect leaves and expecting that RYO cigarettes is a simple process.RYO is a time-consuming task with a pretty good learning curve to master. (there aren't any shortcuts)It took me some time to get the moisture content right, and it takes time! If I need to rehydrate the burley it may take several days for the tobacco moisture content to be uniform throughout the batch of tobacco. Too moist and it gums up the cutter blades and won't smoke properly, and too dry and you end up with awful tasting dust. Each time I have purchased fronto or grabba leaves they have been nearly perfect. I think some customers might be expecting the same quality leaves when purchasing the 2 & 5lb kits.I have been somewhat disappointed with the Burley I have received. Often it is very dry and unable to be handled without being rehydrated, but Burley is a very thin leaf which dries quickly. Granted, it is difficult to rehydrate and then get the tobacco back to the correct moisture levels before prepping and getting ready to roll.I have also run across some mold, but never more than a 15% loss. Even the website states that it is normal to come across some mold, and dry leaves. But I haven't ever come across any bugs in the product, but it wouldn't surprise me if I had.I can't imagine that the large cigarette manufacturers pick through the tobacco and remove any moldy product.I must say that the 5 day lead time makes things difficult because I don't want leaves sitting around drying up.Regular buyers need to work around Leaf Onlys' operating hours. Nothing is processed on the weekends or holidays. So it seems that if you order over the weekend it is the same as placing that order early Monday morning.I think the shipping fees are pretty fair. And every order I have made has been packed & boxed properly and in good quality, new cardboard boxes (which are not inexpensive).I have purchased from one other website that is not affiliated with Leaf Only and I was disappointed in the quality.Sometimes I get a 5 pound kit and all the tobacco is absolutely beautiful and easy to work with, and other times it seems that I may have received tobacco that is the end of Leaf Only's batch of tobacco which is understandable as we are working with commodity product. Sure, I wish every batch was perfect, but that's not realistic. In the past year and half, I did comment once. I just put a note on my order explaining that my last order left a little to be desired and asked that they please take some extra care on this new order, and they did send me a beautiful 5lb kit.So, the facts are, ...tobacco is an agricultural commodity product that will constantly vary. So, for myself, Leaf Only is the only place to purchase raw tobacco leaves. Good quality, consistent product, and fair pricing.”

“Large store with a variety of smoking accessories. I actually saw a few items I haven't seen before. Large collection of pipes, just about half the store, glass or metal, etc. Small selection of vapes. Multiple tobacco oriented products, and cigarette making supplies. Small section of jewelry. Lots of open (wasted) floor space, could easily fit in more display cases. Initially, the prices rang up higher at the register than was marked on the products and I walked out. However, because this shop is so close to me, I decided to give it another chance. Went back and learned the shop keeper is very willing to haggle. When I walked out a second time he actually followed me out and promised to match the affordable prices that my previous shop was giving me. Very nice guy who is hungry for business, I recommend going in and attempting to haggle for a fair price you are willing to pay.”
