“Went in for a water filter for the frig and came out with a new grill and a few needed accessories. Manny was very helpful - suggested a few things we needed for the grill, but wasn’t high pressure if we said we didn’t want something. The PCR system is very helpful b/c we have purchased many appliances over the years and they can look up what we have now so they can sell us the right part (in this case, a frig water filter). We have shopped at PCR for years as they have a good selection and any Bells or whistles that someone wants. I recommend buying extended warranty on any frig - we’ve had to use a couple of times over the years for different makes and models, and it’s always minimal hassle to get the repair or replacement for anything not working.”

While it was expensive (>$800) to repair the broiler and install some safety valves as it had been fitted incorrectly for propane, Andre was so nice, informative, and helpful, explaining everything in detail. I'm so glad he was our service rep and hope to work with him again if we ever have any appliance issues in the future!”

“Home Depot in Derby is my go-to for home improvement projects, appliance purchases and virtually everything in between when it comes to your home. They literally have everything you can think of, plus the countless items you may never need or use, but boy do some of those expensive tools look exciting. Fun to just browse and see what's new these days. They always have everything I need at reasonable prices (especially compared to major competitors and Mom & Pop shops), and the staff is attentive and willing to help without being pushy or aggressive. Their Home Depot credit card through Citi is also a great option for promotional interest-free financing on larger appliance purchases, which makes those bigger expenses much easier to manage. Bought my roughly $1k dish washer (including removal and install) and only had to pay about $85 a month for a year, interest free and then I also earn redeemable points on my purchases when I spend there. Consistently a good experience, has yet to let me down.”

“First I want to ask managers to be on the floor to check on your staff because they leave the client go round the store without asking them if they can help. This afternoon I came into the store and I ask 3 people on the floor and they couldn't help me but refered me to wrong line for the storage bin I was looking for. But the fourth person I finally consulted her name is miss Faye the Garden Associate guided me to the right place and helped me load the 13 storage bins 27 gallon black and yellow covers I bought. I rate the store 5 start because of Miss Faye. Otherwise my rating was zero. You have a bunch of staff loafing around the store, doing nothing. The lids were on top of the shelves and how do you expect your client to climb to get the lids, yet you have staff employed to assist your clients. In short I was very disappointed of the services. Next time I will name them one by one to report them at your corporate office.”

“Updated: Spoke with the assistant store manager and she came out and actually helped me herself including helping me load my car when she learned of my back surgery and changed that experience. I updated this review to a fight star. Original: Why advertise curbside pickup if the service isn't actually functional? I checked in for a curbside pickup order and sat in my car for over 25 minutes, only to discover no one was ever coming out. I had to go inside, explain the situation, and wait even longer while an associate was finally alerted to gather my items. This is the only Home Depot location where I consistently run into curbside pickup failures. If a store doesn't have the staffing or system to support curbside service, they shouldn't offer it. It ends up taking twice as long as just walking in yourself.”

“This Home Depot is my hometown store. Essentially it has everything the other stores have, my only criticism is the fact that some items are not the same as other stores nearby. For example, whenever I visit the Fairfield store in the front, outside they normally have grills and other items in the front- but some of the items the Fairfield store has are not the same which are out in the front of the Bridgeport store. The Fairfield store has all types of Weber grills and other high end models but in the Bridgeport store you have the lower models. I wonder why. But essentially for all most hardware, tools and paint needs it is about the same. One thing I will say is the employees at the Bridgeport store seem to be a lot nicer.”

“I recently rented a van from Home Depot and overall the experience was smooth and convenient. The rental process was easy, and the van itself was in good condition. However, there was a small issue at the start. I was told the gas tank was at 7/8 full, but when I got into the vehicle, it looked more like just over 3/4. I only drove about three miles and even added half a gallon of gas before returning it. Despite that, I was told there wasn’t enough gas upon return and was asked to pay a fuel fee. I explained that the tank was already under 7/8 when I picked it up and declined the charge. Thankfully, the staff listened and agreed that it was probably a mistake in checking the fuel level at the start. They dropped the fee, and everything ended well. Just a heads-up to future renters: double-check and take a picture of the fuel gauge before driving off. Otherwise, great service!”

“Today is a five star day. I came in to make a quick purchase. The purchase did not work out so I had to return the device. All in all it was a pleasant & speedy experience. However, when I went back to Walmart to make my return - my hat fell off my head. I looked around, could not find it. I called the store and Katrice picked up the phone. I explained to her that it was not a hat from Walmart and it belonged it me. She was rather kind & patience as she tried to calm my panic mode. She actually said she was going to ask around about it. I'd say about five minutes later Katrice and I spoke again - where she conveyed the delightful news to me that my hat was at the service desk. Due to this experience I will make a point to shop here when in the area. Thank you kindly Katrice & whomever found my hat. It's a #hatapproved day!!!!!”
