I love bethel center the staff and all the members as well and the people around me I'm living with it's really a beautiful place to live for me and my dog and I love the environment I'm present there now its is a good place to be and live for a homeless person for me and my dog is really heaven on Earth for us there then I only welcomed me but they welcome my dog as well and know me and my dog is a part of that blessed movement Flo and mini have left here and got apartments in great things that happen in your life and I will also leave out of here with section 8 for me and my dog in Jesus Mighty Name Amen Absolutely ? My God Is Alsome The Lord Almighty Always Do It.

Horrible place, can't sleep in this place. Defeats the whole purpose of helping, and assisting those in need. Asides from this being a "safe place" for those in need and suffering from homelessness this place is super grimey and dirty. Wanting clients to clean the place, but yet again allow clients who are facing what it seems to be chronic homeless mind wellness disease to dwell within others with urine and feces smells in which can affect others health. Also the staff and people who volunteer tend to be very disrespecting towards clients by harassing and talking about the clients with unwanted comments and behaviors. A place who very sponsored by others who care shouldn't be represented this way. With the toilets full of feces and dirty.

Stayed there here while back and the lady was going out of her way to make sure everyone got treated fairly. I know it's a homeless shelter but to some people it's HOME..!

I have suffered homelessness for 10 years in CT. I need special medical housing due to my many auto-immune disorders. Many, many years ago, Beth-El almost killed me by giving me two cans of 9+ year old pineapple to eat (I also suffer from chronic renal failure.) I complained in writing to the Milford Health Department and Beth-El retaliated and "86'd" me for life claiming they would " have me arrested and criminally-charged if I ever returned." I have lost track of all the homeless who are now dead because they never received help. The Homeless Industrial Complex is killing homeless Americans and profiting emmensely.

Former employee here. This place is a sham. And a shame. Beginning with the treatment of clients I witnessed while there. People kicked out for almost no reason. Yelling and cursing at clients ,Reserving beds during no freeze protocols (a HUGE no no) for select clients, HIPPA violations , you name it. They are basically just a politcal front and platform for the city of Milford (rich and snobby) to act as if they care. But employees there do about as a little as possible (in my opinion) and care even less. The director there , Jennifer Paradis doesn't even have experience or education in social. She's basically a political puppet who can barely control her own staff(who completely despise her in secret ironically).

AGAIN THIS IS A VERY BIG WARM LOVING CENTER WHERE THEY HELP YOU WITH RESOURCES AND SERVICES TO FIT YOUR NEED AGAIN THIS KINDA WORK IT TAKES A VERY SPECIAL CHRISTIAN PERSON TO DO IT!??? I'M SAYING SOMETHING VERY POSITIVE ABOUT THE CENTER IT'S HELPING WITH RESOURCES AND SERVICES THAT ARE FOR ME ESPECIALLY!!!?? AGAIN I SAY THE OUR FATHER FOR A VERY SPECIAL PRAYER FOR THE CENTER AND YOU ALL HELPING ME AND OTHERS OUT WHO NEED IT A VERY BIG WARM CHRISTIAN THANKS ?!!!!? AGAIN BETHEL IS LIKE MY HOME AND FAMILY NO MATTER THIS IS WHAT I WAS TAUGHT FROM MY LOVELY PARENTS WHO'S LOOKING DOWN FROM HEAVEN ALWAYS GIVE PEOPLE RESPECT NO MATTER IF YOU THINK THEY DON'T NEED IT OR NOT BECAUSE IT MAKES YOU A VERY BETTER PERSON AND YOU WILL BE RESPECTED MAJORITY OF THE TIME YOU KNOW HOW PEOPLE ACT THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME SO YOU TRY TO ACCEPT IT TO IT'S ABILITY BECAUSE GOD'S LOVES THOSE PEOPLE WHO DO THAT IN GENERAL!!!?

The state should be more involved in watching this place! I got a call from Tameka who told me my daughter was in a “Dangerous Situation “ asking me could I take her. Of course after being shook she told me my daughter was involved in DV, I said she could stay, even though my house is in the middle of construction. Ruth told her she had to leave. They never looked for somewhere else for her to stay. They threw her and her two daughters out, never called the police; but offered her boyfriend a room on the singles side and to take him out to lunch! SMH Then only after she put in a complaint did they call DCF in retaliation. To top everything off, I gave her money and they “Advised” her because he was the girls father she had to split the money with him????? I didn’t realize there were attorneys and certified public accountants on Beth El staff? And no she doesn’t owe him a penny, he in fact ladies, should be paying her child support for his daughters. Please don’t give out this Foolish advice to anyone else in the future! Very disappointing for a community that is in need.

Very little support or supervision of other residents that abused the privilege to be there they would be in the back parking lot getting high n drunk. I was accepted the first week of June 2021 I collect SSA and work part-time I have an emotional support dog who has certification I already had an account for housing vouchers that I was actively working on I was very respectable didn't do anything wrong one of the other residents very racial and would drink almost every day the other resident almost assaulted me in front of staff the next day they just charged both of us I wrote a grievance and I was still denied to come back into the the shelter I desperately needed guidance and help with permanent housing and deposit assistance needless to say I'm back to square one
