This will probably be the last time I visit this location. I will be going to the Scarsdale location moving forward. I waited around two and a half hours, not because it was particularly busy, but because the employees were too busy chatting, laughing, and having a great time instead of sorting through the clothes. When I asked for an update on my order status, I was brushed off and given no real information about how long after the estimated time I would need to wait.
Additionally, the customer service has gotten noticeably worse. There is no greeting when you walk in, and the overall attitude feels rude and dismissive. The pricing on the clothing has gone up while they give you close to nothing for the items you bring in, even items that are brand new with tags.
Very disappointing experience. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, because this location has definitely gone downhill.

I’ve had multiple unpleasant experiences at this Once Upon a Child location in Orange, CT. The young ladies who work here consistently have nasty attitudes and make it very clear they don’t want to deal with customers. During my recent visit, they were loudly complaining about not accepting any more clothing drop offs because they wanted to leave on time and said they will turn people away.
Every time I come, there seems to be a new rule. First, they told me my clothes needed to be in a tote instead of a bag. I followed that instruction, and then they complained the tote was too big and said it must be an 18-gallon tote “next time.” I’ve never had these kinds of issues at other locations. Other stores have friendly, helpful staff who seem happy to assist customers.
I’m really disappointed in how I was treated here. The customer service at this location is consistently poor, and it’s made me not want to return.

The staff is horrible. They all act like you are inconveniencing them. I brought items in, and the old guy did not even go through my clothes. I waited around and watched.

We aren’t ever returning to shop here! Store is a scam because they are selling at new items prices. Not even 25% off used items, and never 50% off. Selling used bouncers for $20-$25 when you can get them for that price on Amazon. Selling an electronic kids truck for $150 when you can get it for $170 at the store. Why even pay for the used item when you can get it brand new, and not missing any pieces or dirty, all for the same price??

The location is fine - a decent amount of stuff and they will buy from you. Unfortunately, the staff is enough for me to never go back there again. The staff is incredibly rude and seem so bothered like you’re inconveniencing them. I had a full tub that I brought in and set it on the ground and waited my turn. I had my 9 month old in my arms and the cashier looked at me and said “you need to put the tub on the counter.” She did not offer to help / she was so unbelievably rude about it. Thankfully, a kind woman next to me lifted it for me and looked at the cashier and said “how did you expect her to do that?”. Even bystanders could see how rude the woman was. It costs nothing to be kind - especially when you work for a children’s company! They need to reevaluate their customer service and staff.

They did not offer a good price for the clothes I brought in to sell. The clothes I brought were mislabeled and I ended buying a size too small, also some of the items on sale were very faded and extremely used looking. I think for big ticket items like coats, shoes, strollers this is a great option. But for little things like pj's or clothing in general I could get new for cheaper when carter's has a sale.

This place, specifically this location, is a joke. The people who work there never seem happy, always have an attitude and seem as they're doing you a favor by going through your bins. Everyone follows the store policy and yet the items never get accepted (either faded, lint, etc). However, when you go through the racks of their store, you can most certainly find clothes that are faded, with lint, grease spots or stained. I'm curious as to why this store doesn't provide the customer with an itemized receipt of the clothing they accepted and how much they "paid" for that item.
Let's do better in 2025!

I love this place for quick finds, BUT they NEVER take the items I try to consign and half the time I purchased from them.

A little confusing, a few days before I only brought my daughter's clothes, they paid me well. Days later I brought more clothes, shoes and toys, it was almost the same as last time. I take great care of my daughter's clothes and her things, but no way.

Prices are on par with other locations. Reward programs are separate to each location (fyi for newcomers). Saw the bassinets had chunks of dirt in them despite being tagged as sanitized. Saw a pill/vitamin and dirt in another bagged item. I think I've been to 4 different locations and only found 1 brightly lit and clean location - it wasn't this one, but that seems to be the standard - the super clean one seems like an outlier.
