“I had honestly expected so little from the Morris Spirit Shop - maybe beer and whatever their regular customers drink. But no, it's got a great selection, especially for its physical footprint! Outside the bushes are well maintained, and there are even places to sit on the front porch. Parking has a frequent turnover , but there's a lot of room in the front lot to maneuver.Inside, it's bright and cheerful, with lots of varieties for wine, beer, and liquor. The cashier (who may have been the proprietor) was friendly and happy to help with finding a certain something or a similar alternative in stock. I went in with the expectation "I'll know what I want when I see it", which he respected, but also I found a great wine for a gift and a bunch of little nip bottles to try out! Prices were very reasonable as well.”
“Best liquor store in Watertown. Lots of variety, although I wish they stocked Gasolina drinks. Apart from that, this place is very good - clean, many options and decent prices.”

“Family owned has been in business for a long time. Remember going there as a kid with my parents & getting a soda out of an old fashion cooler they still have that has rotating metal racks in it & they always gave us lollipops. New owners are super helpful & friendly. Although I dont go in there often they still remember me and treat me well. Large selection of wine & spirits the beer selection is alright has your basic variety plus some newer trendier products and several different types of beer & flavors (lagers, ipa's, etc)”
“Very hospitable. Staff has always gone above and beyond, if they didn’t have an item they ordered it and keep it stocked…I consider the owner and staff as friends. They are also considerate with my dogs by giving them snacks.

“I was very impressed with this store. I stopped in after the UConn ladies basketball team won, and wanted to get a bottle of Chardonnay. They didn't have the brand name I was looking for, however, they were very professional and helped me select the bottle that was equivalent to the one I was looking for. The lovely person there took her time and wasn't in a hurry to rush me. If you're ever in Thomaston, CT, stop by Black Rock Wine and Spirits!”
“Great local place to fulfill all your alcohol needs (and non alcoholic drinks and items too). Great for a quick stop, in and out. The one thing that separates them is that they have a rotating selection of single beers, oftentimes from local breweries. Everyone that works there is knowledgeable and friendly!”
“Such fantastic customer service! I had a tricky order for a very picky bride-to-be. I dealt with Sam, and she couldn't have been more professional and thorough. She found exactly what I was looking for, met my deadline, and followed through (phone calls and even helping put the order in my trunk). The “rude Indian guy” cited in the other review is always pleasant and smiling! I truly think they reviewed the wrong store. Always enjoy talking with him! Prices are solid. 5 stars!”
“The store is long and narrow, but they have a good selection of liquors and wine when you're looking for a favorite or something new to try. The prices are reasonable for the area, and the employees are willing to provide information. Very friendly location with parking in the front, the only downside is getting out at a three way intersection!”
“Well I have to say I have spelt on this place. Happen to drop in out of convenience the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Awesome staff and unbelievable variety for the space. You gotta love the walk in cooler. Maybe my go to spot from now on.”
