Hey anyone that wants to stay near Foxwoods Casino, reserve a two bedroom suite and a one bedroom suite to celebrate an occasion. Well, I only got to check into the one bedroom room, early and was told the two bedroom was being cleaned, would get a call once done. Ok cool. Waited until 15 minutes after the checkin time, while we had 6:15 dinner reservations in my head, to go down as I hadn’t received a call that my main room was ready. Not only was I met with a “supervisor “ that could care less, I was told a lie that my room would be ready in 15 minutes. A very nice maintenance guy told us shortly after that they just started our room at 4:45 (check in was 4) and he was so sorry. I then had to get ready in the other room with the girls and guys. Fine. But then never got a call that the room was ready until I called from the casino and was told ya it was cleaned an hour ago (5:30) and never got a call. Showed up before 11 to check in and met with more attitude. Can’t wait to put this place in blast on all social media, Google etc. Already done on fb and Google. Call to corporate next

Excellent hotel in a wonderful place. The only thing that really bothered me was that the Front Desk Sheleena Perry is a person who should not be serving the public since her treatment of my children and myself was very unpleasant and very disrespectful. I was also able to observe how he disrespected several guests. To be honest, the hotel and other employees like Ivonne from the kitchen department are excellent, but as for Sheleena Perry, she damages the good reputation of the hotel.

The staff was very helpful and they upgraded our room. However, I was a little sketched out by some of the people around the hotel and one of the doors didn't work that was closest to our room.

Beautiful rooms, very spacious and really big parking lot. However, the breakfast bar could’ve been more sanitary.

Reserved a room for 11 nights. Showed up to find out that there is no functional heater in the room and only a wimpy window air conditioner. Was told that there wouldn't be a room with a heater available for 3 to 4 nights. I was given a space heater that was honestly insultingly insufficient.Overall, this is a super shady practice. It's not cool to rent rooms without heaters, then just hope the guests don't ask about it.

Unfortunately this hotel needs a lot of maintenance and cleaning. I am surprised it is affiliated with the Marriott brand and I hope it improves soon.Safety: There was is an exterior door that is supposed to be keycard only access and the locking mechanism is missing meaning anyone can get into the building at any time.

Very dirty and disappointing, first room was a mess, with fans blowing trying to hide some sort of smell. Bed beyond uncomfortable. Electrical wires hanging out of the door! StillLive! Overall not a good experience.

This hotel does not live up to the standards I expect to find at a Marriott-branded hotel. I am a 28-year participant in Marriott's loyalty program for a reason; I expect and am given a consistent, high-quality experience.First, I have to say that the people working there were professional and polite. It's the physical hotel that I did not like.Upon check-in we were given a small suite with two window unit air conditioners. I can't remember the last time I saw a window unit in a hotel. Looking around the outside of the two buildings, I'd estimate that about 10% had window units. To me, that signals that they do no maintenance on their internal a/c units. And that carried through to the rest of the room. The other problems I discovered were:--Keeping the blackout curtains closed prevented the window units from being able to circulate air in the room. Also, these units cycled on and off through the night, even with the fan switched to auto, and my head was four feet from the unit.--The window unit was plugged into the receptacle IN THE BEDSIDE LAMP. This is an absolute fire hazard.-- The security latch on the hallway door was pulled out of the wall.-- The ice maker in the refrigerator did not work, and there are no hallway ice makers.--The building entrance on the most isolated, darkest side of the building facing a wooded area, had a room key activated lock. However, the actual lock in the door jam has been completely removed. The door had no lock!I did complain and was given a larger room on the first floor that had a normal a/c unit. However, the windows facing the sidewalk and the parking lot only had blackout curtains. There were no normal curtains in the windows. This meant we could not open the blackout curtains for the entire stay without having someone walking past and peering in.This facility is without a doubt the worst Marriott branded building I have ever stayed at. I would hope that someone at the corporate level would have it inspected and at least have the major issues remediated.Rooms: Lacking maintenanceNearby activities: Mystic is a great community!Safety: A side door entrance had the lock completely removed

We had several people staying here for an outage at the Millstone Nuclear plant. A manager gave a key card to an individual to go into guest rooms who stole prescription medications and there have been numerous car break ins. Needless to say all of our coworkers moved to other hotels. This was an excellent hotel for many years but the property has been neglected & has declined in cleanliness, safety & basic accommodations over the years. Cannot believe it's still in the same category of other Marriott properties.Nearby activities: Great location. Horrible property.

Housekeeping entered our room while the Do Not Disturb sign was posted. Several items were missing from our room. Management did not work with us to locate or return the items. While they did locate one of the items and promised to mail it to us, this never happened.

Aged and run down Marriott property in need of an overhaul. This Residence had also ran out of soap for their guests' rooms. Room furniture visually soiled. Very disappointing!

FILTHY! GROSS! STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. The staff is beyond frustrated and it rubs off onto guests. The overall management of this hotel is horrible. It is in disrepair and should be condemned. I was shocked at the condition of this hotel since our last visit! We left the next morning. They didn't have a pillow for my daughters. There weren't enough towels. The sheets weren't washed. There were hairs and stains ALL over the room. The first staff member was totally overwhelmed and demonstrated nothing but an attitude and apathy toward the condition of the rooms. The couch they promote as a third bed isn't suitable to sleep on nor do they have ample bedding to sustain all the rooms/guests.The hallways, elevators, and rooms weren't cleaned. The rugs were filthy. The buttons broken. The key didn't work and they wanted us to call the front desk every time we had to get into our room. The staff were crying and totally disgusted by management and complained to us. There were not enough towels. The bathrooms were disgusting. It was a disaster and we left the next morning. It's only that we had to find somewhere to go in tourist season that we even spent the night. It was truly disgusting. The staff also complain and hate working there and tell you how abysmal management is!

We booked a 2 bedroom so our 6 year-old could have his own space. They gave us a handicap accessible room. It faced the non-smoking courtyard where people went to smoke including the woman at the front desk.Back door not locked that leads into the building which isn’t safe.Bedding was clean. My back has never hurt more from a bed. Both my husband’s back and mine were locked from sleeping on this bed.The tub/shower combo was clean with a brand new shower curtain. The shampoos and conditioners in the shower can be opened by anybody which I think is gross. The toilet in the room with the shower/tub combo was super low to the floor, close to the wall, and lopsided. The bathroom door to the handicap accessible bathroom didn’t stay open and was creaky when it slowly closed on its own.The AC in our room has a very loud clicking sound whenever it kicks on, which seemed like every few minutes during the night. The room was relatively quiet with the exception of the person above us. It sounded like they were bowling in their room. The sound of the shower above is was so loud it sounded like it was in our room. The light from the smoke detector in our room was very bright-flashing on randomly and repeatedly at times. It’s in very close proximity to the bed.The bedroom our son was in smelled like skunk weed twice so I’m guessing it’s seeping in from the courtyard. The breakfast was okay. The superstar of breakfast is the waffle maker. The pool was a cold salt pool. Not expected. My kid liked it.It was nice for us to have a separate space from our son after he went to bed at 8p, but not worth the almost $400 we paid for the night.

The room was dirty, I felt uncomfortable the entire stay. The breakfasts were horrible, and I just couldn't bring myself to eat anything that was being served. I checked out early and relocated to a better place. I did not feel safe as the back door to the parking lot was never locked and the lock in my room did not work most of the time. The safety latch was also very loose and probably wouldn't work if it had to. I raised these issues with the front desk staff and it was like talking to a brick wall...no response, no emotions, and no apologies. Not even a thank you let me write this down for the maintenance staff. The room included a window AC unit which was rather annoying. It was a 4.6 amp A/C unit plugged into a 3.5 amp max lamp outlet...a definite fire hazard. I feel I was shoved away into a hellish room because I had to have the government rate but this was beyond my level of acceptable. It's a horrible place, I will never stay here again. There was a smashed fly on the ceiling...who knows how long it had been there, hair in my freezer longer than any hair I have ever had in my life. Some of the dishes were not washed, so I had to rewash everything including the refrigerator interior. I certainly left the room cleaner than when I checked in. No one cares here. Go stay at the Residence Inn in Coventry. It is 1000 times better.
