This is the best place to get real kielbasa - none of that supermarket stuff. Definitely the real deal. Highly recommended.

Five Stars all day long! This place is an institution. A must stop for Polish cold cuts, hotdogs, cheeses, and that delicious hotdog sauce. Pretty good parking, and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff to assist you with your choices The star of the show, of course are the hotdogs and kielbasas. Do not discount the cold cuts. Everyone of them is delicious. The hotdogs are the best in the area, but to accompany them, pick up that hotdog sauce! That probably is the best in Connecticut and reasonably priced per pint . If you live anywhere in Connecticut or surrounding states, it is definitely worth a trip here to see an old tradition, and famous to the area institution. Now that I am done with the review, I am craving Martin Rosals!

Martin Rosol's Meats is a meat and cold cut production company that opened in New Britain, Connecticut in 1928. It was founded by Polish immigrant Martin Rosol. He started his company in a small garage with about 8 employees. At that time, Polish immigrants made up a quarter of the New Britain population. Even today, New Britain's "Little Poland" is the largest Polish population of any city or town in the state. Rosol moved the business to its current location on Grove Street in 1937. Rosol's son Eugene joined the company in 1946 after returning from duty in World War II. He later became the CEO and remained so until he passed away in 2010. Eugene's son Robert joined the company in 1981 and later served as President until he passed away in 2017. Today his widow Sarah serves as President, while their sons Tim and Teddy serve as Chief of Operations and General Manager respectively. Teddy Rosol recently contacted me and invited my family and I to come and tour the Rosol factory. He was such a friendly person and so professional. Although the factory was small, I was impressed with how clean and organized everything was. The company has about 22 full-time employees. They are very loyal to the business and some have worked there for over 50 years each. The company's best-selling products have always been their "Frankfurts" (hotdogs) and Kielbasa. Rosol's also produces an "Easter Kielbasa" (smoked version) which is very popular during the Easter season. Rosol's has a retail store and deli at their production facility where you can buy their products directly. Teddy was very generous to my family and sent us home with Frankfurts, Cocktail Franks, Kielbasa Rings, Kielbasa Patties, Kielbasa Kellies, Sliced Head Cheese, Chili, and Horseradish. We already grilled up some of the hotdogs and tried them with the chili and horseradish. Growing up in New Haven, I was raised on Hummel Brothers hotdogs (which set the bar very high). Now that I've tried Rosol's, I want to go on record and say that their products are just as good!

Rosol's has been a big name in my Polish family's household for years, but we finally made a visit to their retail store to stock up for our Memorial Day cookout! We tried the kielbasa burgers and dogs for the first time and fell in love! I also thought the walk in cooler for the entrance to the retail store was so cool! Whether I'm picking up their products at my local store or visiting the retail store again, I'll be sure to stay stocked up on Rosol's!

I grew up in Plainville CT so Martin Rosol's has been a part of many a holiday celebration for as long as I can remember. Their Easter Kielbasa was always a staple at dinner. I have not been to their retail location in years but it has not changed as far as I can tell. This family-owned company has been in business for almost 90 years - so if it ain't broke - don't fix it. You walk into the store - which is basically a big refrigerator with the meat case in front of you and the smoked kielbasa to the right of you. They offer fresh and smoked kielbasa as well as many other deli meats and cheeses. They also have some of their sausages wrapped up so you can grab some and stick it in your fridge for later use. I picked up some fresh and smoked kielbasa while there. The fresh I stuck in the freezer for later use but I used the smoke kielbasa some grilled flatbread and it was phenomenal! Highly recommend!

Watching WFSB channel 3 morning news on Good Friday morning. They had a story about this place, and how people are waiting before they opened to get their special Easter kielbasa. Ok we now know what we're doing today. Located on Grove street it's pretty hard to miss. Their sign, which looks like it's mid 20th century vintage, could fit into a gangster movie. Parking is limited to less than 10 spaces, which would be ok if it was any other day of the year. We cruised up and down and no luck getting a spot. We went up the street and there's a Polish Club on the right. There were a few cars in there and decided to chance it. WORD OF WARNING: There's absolutely no on street parking in the vicinity, and places that have their own lots, are posted as tow away areas. Anyway, walking in the place is a trip! (In a good way) To enter the store, the door is an actual cold room / butcher shop type door, with the correct handle. Sales area is small, but this is a meat store. Pre-packaged meats, and other items are self serve, and the meats (not packaged) are behind a typical deli or meat department case. After your business is done, you move left and there's the one lane check out. We bought a good assortment of kielbasa, perogies, and such. Came home and had to sample it all. Perfection! This is what real sausage and polish food should taste like! All in all, you can't go wrong with anything from here. I you're in the New Britain area, especially Little Poland, this is a must see!

If you like polish sausage this is the place to go, i highly recommend it. They have the best kielbasa, kielbasa patties, kabanosy and hot dogs you can buy. They also have a great selection of other meats and condiments to compliment them as well. They recently started making andouille and chorizo sausage which is excellent.
