If you take COVID-19 seriously, do NOT go to this store. I went in this morning to get a long list of items and left without buying most of what was needed, because even though they have a sign stating masks are required- THEY DO NOT ENFORCE the mask mandate. I saw 2 customers (one at the service desk) with no masks and employees were helping them. There were also 4 employees that I saw walking around with their masks pulled down. When you take COVID-19 seriously and understand that there are people in our society that are the most vulnerable and you want to protect them, you respect the mandate. It's a joke to see employees not adhering to the mandate. I will not be returning to this store EVER. Horrible experience.

I am at home depo at least a few times a week . Recently I have been in there with all that's going on with the virus and they are allowing people in there without masks...even though there is a big sign on the door saying that masks are required. I was there today and saw both staff and customers without masks on or wearing them under their chins. I do not feel safe shopping here with such poor safety precautions so I will not be back.

Half the employees at this Home Depot don't care about the wellbeing of their customers. Today even the man letting the people in the store to control capacity was maskless. What kind of a message is that sending to customers? The customers all wore them but the employees appear to believe they are above that. There is a big sign on the front door saying everyone who enters the store per local ordinance must wear masks. I understand there could be someone that has a hard time with masks but this seemed more like these employees were making a foolish and selfish statement. How can corporate allow this in Connecticut?

Home Depot in Barkhamsted does not feel it is necessary for their cashiers to wear gloves, and they stand about 1 1/2 feet away from you in garden. Really? Take this more seriously or contribute to the rising numbers. I called them to make a complaint and they clearly dont care. Every other store in Torrington has cashiers wearing gloves, why don they? Beware of those that dont care. Ask the nurses and Drs. they know. And they have people walking in the exit only, so much for social distancing and no markings on the floor becasue they are too lazy to do it. Not again and sharing the news with all my friends as well Very foolish careless store.

Wanted to buy a tractor. The ad said they had three in the store and there was free delivery. Nope! The free delivery costs $80. If you expect to get the free delivery promised in the ad, you’re going to have to order it from the home depot website and wait 24 days for it to get delivered from some factory. That’s very misleading. I was expecting free delivery of one of the three in stock at the local store! That’s pretty much what the ad says.

Home Depot has deceptive advertising. I wanted to buy my son a riding mower as a gift. The website had me enter his zip code to find his local store. The ad for the tractor said they had 3 in stock and even tells you the aisle it's in, and where the price is posted it says "free delivery". Well, don't fall for this misleading advertising. Even though they give you the local store info, you're not getting one of those three that they have in stock. Apparently you have to pay for the "free shipping" if you want one from the store. The ad implies the free delivery is from them. When I checked out and saw the expected delivery date was 24 days away, I figured it wasn't coming from the local store. They shouldn't be able to get away with this false advertising. If you pick a store and they tell you it's in stock and there's free delivery, most people would believe it's coming from that store and that you won't have to wait 3.5 weeks. Free delivery shouldn't cost $80 which is what the local store charges. They shouldn't be allowed to say "free delivery" in the ad showing the local store's name.

I'd like to thank the New Hartford store for offering curbside pickup during this time for my pick up in-store purchase online. Wanting to limit our exposure into public places with the virus and glad they are offering this service. I only wish, judging by the full parking lot ,that more patrons were not taking advantage of it as well.

I'm a retired general contractor. So I plan on doing the entire kitchen renovation myself. I want to have their home service's department measure my existing building space, and then work with me to finalize design ideas, prints and the final renderings.Their staff is competent and pleasant to work with.I would highly reccomend them to design, as well as build out your project.

I went into Home Depot on a Wednesday night to wander - my father has reached a point in his life where for holidays it's easier to get him things he may need, and Home Depot is usually a good place to find those household odds and ends. This time of year (winter turning to spring) seems to be a transitioning period because they were a little hard to find. Staffing seems to be a little sparse, although if I had something specific I was looking for I probably could have located an employee. I'm not a fan of the 100% self-check out though. I don't see a change a princes since this store has eased away from most manned registers, and they provide a very small space to work with.

Carpet installation: terrible! Carpet wasn't stretched tight, nor tacked down at the edges. It is buckling all over the place. Beware, if you buy carpet from here, have a real professional install it, not the bozos at Home Depot.

Bad experience buying appliances. Did not expect to have to deal with 5 different companies, all of whom defer to the other to address any issues. Buy and pay (1) Home Depot. They subtract to (2) a third party delivery company. They subcontract to (3) a different third-party installer. I bought a dishwasher and a fridge. The above path is what was needed for the dishwasher. Home Depot told me that if there was not an outlet behind the dishwasher, new code requires the installer to put one in. I paid Home Depot about $150 for the installation. They failed to mention the installer would need an additional $100 for a two minute job to install an outlet, something I would have done myself for five dollars had I known.I did not need to pay to have the fridge installed. But I plugged it in the night it was delivered, and the freezer door switch is broken. I went to Home Depot the next morning, and they were unable to help, referring me instead to an 800 number. I asked if we could harvest a new simple switch from the floor model and was told no. Went home and called the number, following an arduous phone tree, finally reaching (4) Samsung themselves. Samsung is subcontracting to (5) yet another third-party repair company, One that cannot come for the repair for Another two weeks. The whole process is ridiculous.

Went to the New Hartford store this morning and purchased 30 bags of mulch. At the garden register I asked for assistance in loading. I'm 68 years old and have health issues. The person at the register called someone and told me that they would meet me out at the mulch with a fork lift. After waiting 10 minutes, I decided I would just take my time and load it myself. I would have gone back inside and requested assistance again, my prior experiences at doing so results in wasting more time. No one comes and I end up loading it myself anyway. I should note that I was there early and they were not busy. I spend a considerable amount of money at Home Depot. It all goes to their competition in the future. I've never had to wait for loading assistance at Lowe's!

Too much bad to type out so I'll do bullet points - First of all, in Garden, there is nobody outside so if you have any questions you need to go inside and hunt people down. - This brings me to the fact this store is incredibly understaffed and I maybe saw 3 actual employees the entire 20 minutes I was in there. This obviously leads to them being stretched thin so when you do see people they're juggling 3 tasks already. - Lumber is atrocious, I needed only a few boards and had to pick through at least 20 to find 1 semi decent one so I left and went to the Bristol one. It is also a ghost town so any questions you might have would be better directed towards Siri because this is one department I didn't see an actual worker from, only some poor kid from another department who was already cutting wood and answering people's questions when I got there. You can do better, we all understand you need to make your margins but cuttings hour=frustrated customers=people who will never return.

Great service every time. Employees are so nice and helpful. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the plants I looked at buying were more than double Costco prices..

Just went to Home Depot to pick out grout. Laurie was so helpful and knowledgeable! She made what could have taken 30 minutes take a painless 5!
