Be careful renting because I reserved it for a week not realizing I didn’t need it that long and no one explained to me they don’t refund you money back for using it less days. $320 a week used it one day $196 which is ridiculous. They claim it’s in what you sign when you take the car.

I had a great experience with your company. The staff was friendly and helpful, the car was clean and in good condition, and the rental process was quick and easy. I would definitely rent from you again in the future. I have to give a special thanks to Ali his professionalism and courtesy was outstanding. If you ever need a car he is your guy!!

Ali Aglan, the manager, is among the most professional, kind and helpful people I have come into contact. The site through which we booked made a mistake and Ali made sure that what started out as a nightmare turned into a dream. Ali was patient, beyond helpful, so compassionate and because of him, we will continuously choose Avis. It's obvious that he cares about the people that his branch serves and it's clear that it matters to him that they are taken care of to the best possible degree. Ali is an asset to Avis and absolutely changed our day and experience. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

HUGE shout out to Ali at the New Haven Union Station Avis branch. I've had to rent cars a lot this last year in the midst of medical crises, and then, sadly, funerals, and Ali has been amazing every time, making sure I have a safe, reliable car. Keep in mind this Avis branch is small, so you may have to go with a different vehicle than planned--but that seems inevitable given the size of the branch and the unpredictability of who brings back what car, and when. The convenience of the pick up and drop off right at the station--and the good opening and closing hours--makes this branch a great option.

Pure, efficient joy. They cater to folks who are on a thin timeline to make a train so there’s no mess/no fuss. You simply drop your completed rental folder & keys off at the counter, regardless of the line, and you’re done. Two suggestions: Say on the website where the drop-off lot is (“Directly south of the terminal,”) and where the office is (“Immediately inside on the left from the south entrance door of the terminal.”)

I would say this is an acceptable location, but only do it if really works for you. As all stand aloneAvis they are slow and run like they are in the 80s. I was given a paper for the damage of the car to sign before I even saw the vehicle. Not sure if they were being sus or lazy. In the city unless the car is brand new there is always damage or some sort or issue. But overall the pickup was good and drop off went as planned. My receipt was emailed with no issues.

We got off to a rocky start.As a preferred member I am used to walking in and getting my car and driving off because I've been with Avis for so long.At this location my app would not register my car, even as I stood in the lot with all the cars, so I went into the office and it took a while but someone eventually came to help me. He let me know he was flying solo which is understandable but then told me I had to redo everything via paper like the old days and my rental went from Preferred to full on everything paper rental experience.it was not contactless at all, and I had already done everything necessary in the app as I always do. It was very annoying especially since my daughter had an appt to meet with her Yale Director and this was making us even later.I put this in to say that despite me being frustrated with the clerk, he was very patient and diligent with me and got me out as fast as he could. As we were driving back to campus I realized that he did go above and beyond to get me out of the office despite the initial encounter so I gave them a 4 star.Everything seems okay so far.Clean car, Great CSR, Car runs wellI will post an update at the end of my trip.

I used to be able to trust this location but now it seems they do nt treat customers correctly OR train staff properly. I rented a car in April for 5 days and up;on return apparently they extended my trip. This is after returning the keys and stating I was all set to go. Upon realizing I was being charged extra days I went back in and they were kind, apologized and promised to solve the issue they caused. Instead it was escalated to loss prevention. I was charged upwards of $4000 for a rental that was approx. $300 TOTAL. I was also put on a do not rent list. It has been over a month working with loss prevention and this issue still isn't resolved.DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.

Highly recommend renting from Avis. The van was in great condition (brand new!) and the staff were great during the check-in and dropping-off times.
