Although it is pricey, the pizza is quite delicious. The atmosphere is good and the quality of ingredients is good. Probably Connecticut 1st or 2nd place.

Great pizza! Right up there at the top with the neighboring spots. Went here before a show at shubert for the 1st time and loved the potatoe bacon and herbivore split. Note they only have pizza and salad!

Great spot for partying with friends and dancing on weekends. Pizza is pretty delicious.
The name in neon is beautifully direct. Three letters, but it says a lot about this hip, honest, inviting spot that serves booze, as the name implies, and the city?s best pizza outside Wooster Square. A soaring space with lots of exposed brick and fantastic arched windows that look onto the busy Crown Street, Bar successfully combines a brewpub, restaurant and nightclub under one roof. While young adults come here to play pool, dance and drink, we?re drawn by the terrific, free-form pizzas cooked in wood-burning ovens. Bar?s menu is brief: thin-crust pizza and a solitary salad. That salad, though, speaks loudly. Fresh mesclun, sliced pears, crumbled blue cheese and caramelized pecans in a light vinaigrette. The pizza, offered in three sizes, is a nicely blistered beauty. The basic red pie with mozzarella is the best. A list of 20 different toppings runs from the predictable (pepperoni and sausage) to the unusual (mashed potatoes). Wash you pies down with any of the five house-brewed beers, such as BAR Blonde or AmBAR Ale. Available by pint or pitcher. Bar is a young, friendly and entertaining place to grab top-notch pizza and beer.
