I recommend you find a different location, THEY DON'T WASH THEIR HANDS!!!!😩🤢🤮🤧 " in the words of the young male phlebotomist Who took me today 3/4/2025 @8:20am, after touching the frequently used door knobes, key pad, etc, grabbed the tubes for my blood orders with his bare hands and then proceeded to put on gloves without first ever washing his hands or even using sanitizer not once. When I asked him if he was going to wash his hands, he looked at me with confusion and stated that they never wash their hands before putting on gloves. He stated that he has never heard of that. I explained I took nursing and I am a food safety manager in both professions it is recommended and even required to wash your hands in-between glove use.Sanitizer does not take the place of hand washing. The young man was very argumentative and egotistic, he did not make me feel comfortable having him draw my blood or even touch me at all. He worries me knowing he doesn't understand the importanceof hand washing in an establishment where they are dealing different bodily fluids. After covid-19, he should know better. This is a huge risk he is taking for himself and every cilient he serves. I asked for his immediate supervisor's name and contact to confirm what he stated " that they have never washed their hands and are not required to
" he refused, stating he couldn't just give me that information, what?????. A Supervisors contact should be present if not the supervisor themselves. How would they otherwise ensure the safety and address concerns of their cilients. This is a serious concern as they are drawing blood. This location doesn't even deserve one star, it should be shut down. It's so dirty on top of that, this is a health risk for all who visits. Especially the elderly and children. Please this is my honest review, I do not recommend this location to my worse enemy. Stay Safe!

Every time I have to go to this Quest, I set an appointment days out, arrive on time, there’s like nobody there or one person waiting…. And I STILL end up waiting a min of 20 minutes.
It’s not open on the weekend when I have more time to waste… so I have to go during my work day and without fail… this location makes me have to dip into pto to cover myself. Sadly it’s the closest to me.

When I went on Monday morning, having fasted. The door was locked. I waited with five other people until I had to leave to go to work. I tried calling a number that I found. They had no idea what to do and eventually hung up on me. I was very unhappy and had to reschedule the test for later in the week. What kind of nonsense is that?

Worst lab experience ever. No way to call the office, no attendant, rude, had no record of appointment, lucky I had the confirmation email. Rat traps under the chairs,

Do not go to Quest. They are all franchises that do not bill insurance until you pay out of pocket. Once you pay out of pocket then they may reimburse you. They give you a fake estimate of what your insurance will cover. which they have no way of knowing because they did not officially submit the claim. For example, I have state insurance I have never had to pay one dollar for visiting a lab or hospital. To draw blood, I had to pay $185 out-of-pocket. I called my insurance to verify why they were not covering it and they said submit a claim they just give a rough estimate based on nothing and make their Pay out-of-pocket to later reimbursed them. Since I have state insurance, I should not have paid anything quoted by insurance. They are scam artist!

Don’t make my mistake - they will not take an order unless you print it out, even with barcode to scan

I avoid this one. Crowded, wait longer than anticipated, and other issues. Last time I was there the hallways smelled and I was told something was going on with the building.

The technician I had the pleasure of being seen by was so kind and made me feel right at home. She walked me through which tests my insurance covered and made sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. She made it the best experience I can remember having at any Quest.

My 15 year old daughter was having blood drawn. I couldn't even see her vein so I suggested maybe we look at her other arm that was in her sweatshirt. The phlebotomist ignored me and kept instructing my daughter to squeeze, etc. Then she did not get blood so she continued to move the needle around until she got blood. I'm Not saying what followed wouldn't have happened if she did things differently, but it may have been a faster blood draw. Soooo While the 2nd tube was filling with blood my daughter's eyes were rolling and she was shaking. I thought she was having a seizure. Then she passed out. It seemed like forever. I was calling her name, etc and asking the lady if she thought this was a seizure? She kept saying "she's fine, it's cause she didn't eat" My daughter rarely eats breakfast so I felt it wasn't that and I never saw this happen to her before. When my daughter began coming around and the lady kept asking me if I had water? I didn't so she went to get her a glass. Then she kept asking if I had food? She asked me a few times and I actually felt incompetent as a mother until later when I thought about it... why would I carry water and food? I truly believe Quest should have a supply available for cases like this. I'm sure it's not the 1st time it's happened in there considering how unconcerned the staff was. When she stood up, she was faint again so I sat her down again. I felt the women was more concerned about us leaving so she could get to the next person than showing any kindness.
The last time I went to a Quest was in West Haven where the staff there was actually in a screaming match with another patient. Guess what I realized later. We don't have to go to Quest. We can ask our Drs to us to other places to get blood work, this was def my last time.

I would suggest going elsewhere. The worst place ever .its mainly the chick who is there. She has a major attitude issue two older ladies ask for assistance because they are not computer savvy and she ignores them and slams the door in the ladies fface.she really needs to learn manners
