The worst Walgreens you can ever go to. The two ladies working there are extremely rude and lazy. They don’t want to work at all. The registers are always unattended. Go to CVS in New Haven, 1000X better than this store.

Casier is so rude she intentionally trown my bill and waited me for more than 20 minutes this is not expected from walgreens and in front of me only she trown the bill in dustbin

Two stars for good snack selection and the front store staff are helpful when you have a package to pick up.
Otherwise absolute waste of time as a pharmacy. No one answers the phone and the pharmacy staff could be a lot more compassionate.
The park street Walgreens staff is much kinder and they actually answer the phone. (Fewer snacks though).

Walgreens on York St. New Haven, CT.
January-22-2025 On this night the only Female cashier working at the register after midnight had the most disgusting attitude; Doesn’t know how to treat nor handle customers with respect.
extremely RUDE ! she should get some type of training by Walgreens b4 operating at cash register or conducting any customer service handling. She even had a combative attitude as if she wanted to attack me.
I honestly don’t understand how some one with that type of verbal violence is working there. I asked her to write her name down bc I was gonna complaint about her attitude to her manager she went on saying all kinds of profanity, threw my receipt at me.
( she never wrote her name down though )
I picked up the receipt bc I instantly thought her cashier ID or # would be on the receipt. ( will most def. Follow a complaint with the chain of command).
I asked her one thing and she went off on me verbally insulting me in front of other customers. Most awkward moment ever!!
Do not go to this Walgreens at night bc she doesn’t know how to handle customers with respect or decency.
I understand the location is in a semi-rough area but it doesn’t mean every one is the same. ( this is not acceptable)

No wonder this place has 2.1 stars. Stopped in to buy my kids some snacks after work. Even brought them inside for them to pick out a snack each and a drink. I was going to buy something for my wife and I as well before picking her up from work. My kids needed to use the restroom, and believe me, I understand not letting certain people in due to the mess some homeless people make downtown. But I'm clearly a clean, well-dressed individual with 2 children. It's easy to tell I wouldn't be a degenerate and leave the place a mess. But we weren't allowed to use the restroom due to a manager not allowing it. One of the employees asked, meaning this is a pick and choose who goes in type of ordeal. A father and his 2 children are not allowed to use the restroom. This says a lot about this place and the employees. But it's okay. At least the pharmacy tech was polite enough to thank me after I handed them some PII (Personally Identifiable Information) that I found on the floor. Great job, Walgreens. I'll make it a point to never visit this location again.

I went twice to buy some things and it is the pharmacy with the most aggressive and rude staff I have ever met hahaha they have everything with insurance and when I asked nicely for them to open something for me a lady yelled at me telling me to press the button when she could help me but no I wanted to do it, it is the first time that I got so upset and I decided to leave because of the treatment they give me since I don't like to bother the employees very much, it was the second time that they treated me like that in that store and I recommend them to the 100% never visit that store in any context and even less if you are in a hurry because you will need a lot of patience there.

Empty shelves in the store are typical. Incredibly slow and understaffed pharmacy. An hour to fill out a medication that is already in stock? Ridiculous. Leaves sick people feeling even more sick. Fix your pharmacy!!!

Pharmacy is extremely unorganized and probably overworked staff due to structural issues. The vaccination area (the purpose for my visit) was extremely dirty. I felt like I could get sick just by touching anything in that room! Will not be returning for any other vaccination needs!

Abhorrent experience with the pharmacy. I would give it zero stars if I could. Wait times are unbearably long, and reaching them by phone is impossible. They will pick up the phone only to put you on hold repeatedly. They are poor communicators and often are completely unaware of whether your medications are available. I recently had a lapse in my medication because they told me they would order it and they never did. I told them repeatedly I urgently needed it by a certain date, and they assured me they would have it. They didn’t, and they didn’t even tell me it wouldn’t be coming in. So I had to let my medication lapse. The pharmacy staff does not seem to understand how urgent and important this can be. There is no accountability, communication, or responsibility. I will never go to this pharmacy again, and you would do yourself a service to do the same.

Trash. Only place you can wait for a prescription for 3 days just to go wait in line for them to tell you it won’t be ready for hours.

Theres a lady worker who is very rude. Be prepared to be assisted with mean attitude when you press the assistance button for things thats locked in.
