The security gates have been in the up position at the New London, CT location, seemingly inoperable, for a couple weeks. A month ago I had to wait a half hour for a replacement office employee to show up because the one scheduled had an emergency. Seems these facilities are run on a shoestring budget, but bring in gobs of revenue, including the specific cylinder lock you must have in order to lock any unit. Certainly nothing impressive about this company nor location.
Update: Note that the response I received from CubeSmart is identical to at least one other review critical of the New London facility. I don’t get a warm or hopeful feeling they actually care, but will give them the benefit of the doubt and message my concerns to the contact provided. Watch this space!

Inaccessible restroom, trash-ridden premises (no trash receptacles on site), rarely manned front office, and as with most places, incredible price hikes

Denisha, Nicki and Candace (hope I got the names right) were welcoming and gave us an efficient introduction to our first time renting. The place looks sparkling clean and secure.
I should note that Google Maps totally failed to get us there. You might do better searching for the nearby Springfield Suites.

Kathleen went above and beyond for me. She took xtra time to search specials and talk with management on my behalf. Kathleen was professional and very welcoming. She spent time explaining the contract and was very detailed and thorough. I give her 5 stars plus Many thanks

I’ve been trying to reach the district manager for weeks with no success. The manager at the New London facility is the most unprofessional, arrogant and self-righteous person I’ve ever dealt with. The way she speaks to people is disgusting! She thinks she knows everything but when given legitimate reasons for tranferring from one faculty site to another and another time increasing my storage space size, delving into my personal life more the necessary to defend my case, her response was to find another place to store my items. I called customer service directly specifically stating I wanted to speak with upper management and not the store. Three calls and the district manager and the person above the district manager deferred my call back to the store. After 6 years of storing with Cubesmart in Connecticut and the absurd rate increases, the verbal abuse from the store manager was the final straw. I will not give my hard earned money to a company who supports that kind of unprofessionalism from a manager! Found another facility to store my items at which offer a much better rate and don’t increase prices $30-40 every six months.

I had to get my unit downsized the other day and Lauryn made helped me every step of the way. Ran me through all the pricing options and gave me the one that best fit my needs for the stuff I had. If you need storage talk to her! Thank you ?

Tanisha and Lauren were extremely helpful with us setting up our storage unit for our daughter in college. We are in CA & our daughter is in CT but everything went so smoothly and we really appreciate how great the CubeSmart employees were!

I must say I had a positive experience with CubeSmart self storage! The facility's cleanliness and safety, coupled with helpful employees, contribute to a great storage solution. The convenience and overall satisfaction make CubeSmart a reliable choice for your storage needs. 5 stars for sure.

I'll let you know when I get the notification from you that my refund has been processed as, I changed my mind and requested a refund within an hour of paying for it and we never saw the cube. I am not happy, my husband is 74 years old and I am disabled, this storage is in New London, CT . It's got hundreds of units, deep in a huge bldg up an elevator and through a maze that literally looks like it's straight out of a classic slasher movie , we couldn't even get to the 10x10 cube the associate selected for us, when I went to inquire weather or not they had one closer to elevator or on ground level, she tilted her head and stared at me very intimidatingly, with so much venom, I simply asked for a refund to my card and she snarled and hissed and said , "no we dont have anything else!" on February 10th @ 2:54 pm they took the money off the card in a flash, yet on February 10th 3:56 pm they could not put it back on, an hour later . She was mean and staring deep into my eyes as she spit out "it could take 10 to 30 days to put it back", this young lady at Frontage Roads, in New London CT, United States, was extremely rude and threatening and should not have a job like this. I felt abused when I got back in my car, and burst into tears , my elder husband said let's just go , we can call the company tomorrow or Monday , I would give a minus five if it were possible!! For this location anyway.

This place is really clean and well kept. The staff are really friendly and helpful, but I don’t see myself needing much help since everything works great. Renting a space over the Internet was a breeze, and their prices are pretty cheap.
