Our house oil burner wouldn't shut off and no heat would come out . We finally got it off not with ease. No matter what button or switch we hit it wouldn't stop running. We called the 24 hr emergency service . Note we have a contract with them. When we called we had had to leave a mess because there was no one to speak to. They didn't contact us until the next day. When we aske why no one called she said it wasn't emergency. Possible carbon monoxide fumes getting into our house when it wouldn't shut off is not considered an emergency then what is. They charge more for oil because they say they are a full service oil company'. where's the service? We switched away from them for our propane stove already after they charged a travel fee for a cleaning. Will not renew with them.

I needed to have the scheduled time for my oil furnace tune-up changed.> I called in on the listed phone number and was attended to quickly, getting my scheduled time changed to suit my schedule with ease. The operator, Chris, was pleasant throughout the whole process.

DDLC recently installed central air conditioning in my home. The crew was excellent. The crew consisted of James, Shaun and Jared. They worked hard in a very hot attic. They were on time, respectful, worked well as a team, communicated well and worked as cleanly as possible. They treated my home as if it were theirs. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I am ammending my review after speaking with a representative and having my concerns address and an acceptable resolution to my issue offered.I am happy to have found a resolution to this, as ive said, ive been with the company for a few years and enjoyed their customer service, but was caught off guard by price they charged. I would change my review to a 5 star review, however, i still do view the policy of having a "retail price" rather than a competitive market price as the only other option besides the rate lock program to be rather extortive.Considering they were well within their rights to offer me no remedy, or attempt to retain me as a customer but they reached out to make ammends, i can still confidently give the following ratings:Customer service: 5/5A pleasure to speak with. Polite, knowledgeable and efficient.Delivery experience: 5/5Understanding and easy to work with even with pets and gates.Competitiveness without plan: 1/5Buy diesel at a gas station before buying oil without a plan from this company.Competitiveness with a plan: 4.5/5Under most circumstances, this is the way to go. If the oil industry stabilizes, this may have less value.Service agreement: 4/5The basic agreement (cheaper one) does not cover much, the more expensive one seems to cover much more, but i have not had to use it much. They are fast and efficient with tuneups and their techs know what they are doing and are worth every cent they are paid.I have left the original review below this for context to this correction and why some fields in my review are lower than others.___________Have been with this company for a few years now and while it is convenient, that is about all it is. I had a service contract with them that the first time i had to use it, the part wasnt covered. Ive used the "locked rates" they charge you extra for most of my experience, however, with the rates going down i decided not to opt for that. They delivered oil this friday and charged me $4.99 per gallon. Diesel is currently $4.25 per gallon, and the going rate for heating oil in CT is currently $3.91 per gallon. I dont know how they had the audacity to call $0.75 more than the taxed product (home heating oil is untaxed diesel with dye in it) and call that the market rate. I live close to rhode island where the current market rate is $3.06 per gallon. Ill take my business where im not being price gouged because i didnt pay an extra fee to get fair rates.I will be fair. Their employees are well trained, professional and courteous, and have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with, but their business model is criminal.

I started a contract with DLC energy this past fall when oil prices were extremely high and the future of pricing was unpredictable.DLC has done their best to work with me to be a fair and polite provider going forward. They continue to refine and improve their customer service. I am very happy with DLC energy.

I am a new customer as of 2022. If you are looking for price they will meet or beat anyone. Dependability for automatic delivery has been superb. Customer service (Yes you can actually talk to a real person) is easy prompt and courteous.

Ed came on 3/9 to perform my annual furnace maintenance. He does an excellent job and loves what he does. He is an asset to DDLC and I am happy to see him walk in my door. And he also tells good stories! Great guy!

Just signed up for auto-delivery and am extremely pleased with DDLC. Brian, the driver/delivery person is so thoughtful with the heavy hose and my low voltage lights, taking extreme care not to bump into them and the plantings along the way. All in all, I am happy that I do not have to keep checking my oil tank to see if I nee to call and get oil. I should have done it much sooner.
