I really enjoy visiting here. They're always putting on events that are exciting to all of the senses. Most recently the performances at naked canvas we're a top notch!! The local talent in New London is a force to be reckoned with in so many mediums and I love finding new local artists and musicians to follow/ listen to! A word of caution: bring bug spray ;) ( blame talk to text for poor spelling / punctuation I'm multitasking right now LOL nevertheless hope you have a great day!!!

As someone who lives near by the ample theater should not have been allowed to have been built. There seems to be no consideration for the fact that people do live in downtown.. the speakers system everyone enjoys whilst at a show, causes alot of Loud truama to resentents. These speakers are wayyy up high on the poles. when they have these loud shows with gigantic base that go on past 11 o'clock at night they think somehow the people that live in downtown are on vacation apparently but we have no rights because it's downtown

I'm not pleased with how they treated their tenants of color nor the students they taught or mentored. I watched board members yell at middle school students. They have contradicting requirements to be a resident artist and struggle with retaining staff or tenants of color. I've watched board members physically stop residents of color from entering the building, because they weren't aware they were a resident. I've heard them harass their tenants of color, cornering and berating them for rent even though there were several things broken and needing repair in the apartment. Tenants of color have been harassed by other tenants, with their property and doors vandalized only for they themselves to be forced out of the building while the perpetrator remained a tenant. Until their are drastic changes I would not recommend this art space.

I can't wait for our hyg family to continue to grow together with the outpouring support the Hygienic has so graciously introduced me too. I am grateful every day.
