Elephant's Trunk Flea Market is a big and fun place to go walk around on a Sunday. It is a nice one-day vacation away from the noise and filth of the city. Visitors can check out all the treasures and find something for everyone, from jewelry, books, and furniture to flowers, knickknacks, artwork, and more. Many find really great deals and cool stuff, with vendors who are super fun to chat with and who often barter. Some Sundays are better than others, especially when the weather is poor.
The venue features live music, like a Bluegrass band, which makes it even more fun. It is in full sun with some spots in the shade, so bringing sunscreen, water, and maybe an umbrella is recommended. Parking is always available and free, and entry is $3 a person. It is important to bring lots of cash, as that is the primary payment method, though there is an ATM on site. The food vendors are all good. However, the portapotties are noted as a disgrace and not clean. If you go to the bathroom elsewhere, it is a good flea market. It is worth a try for people watching, treasure hunting, or serious collecting, and is an experience to have at least once.
Fun place to check out. Items from new to old. Lots of dealers. Lots of food vendors if you get hungry.
