My family and I visited the Homestead Inn during our Gilmore Girls inspired trip to New Milford and Washington Depot Connecticut. The Homestead Inn was an awesome home base for this trip! We loved hanging out in the main house area that always had free coffee, tea, water, and cookies/muffins around. Since we visited during the holidays, it was fully decorated for Christmas and the fireplace was always on making the main area warm and cozy. The innkeepers were very nice and accommodating and if you tell them you're going for a Gilmore Girls trip, they'll provide you with tons of resources for places to visit and things to do. The Inn was walking distance to the town green which housed the Gazebo and tons of small businesses and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the Kennedy Room and loved it. Everything was so clean, cozy and nice. We liked the decorations and multiple fire places, and our favorite part was the breakfast. We called the manager, who served us, our Breakfast Angel!!! Definitely coming back.Beautiful getaway!!!

Very good experience! Stayed in the Treadwell annex, in room 7, which was quiet and spacious. We had the chance to have some evening tea in the main house, which was decorated for Christmas and had a very cozy atmosphere. Location is awesome, close to the city green. Checking in and out was smooth, with friendly staff.

What a wonderful experience! The Homestead Inn was one of the most relaxing and accommodating inns I have ever been to. I stayed in the main house which was very historic and decorated quaintly. The staff was nice asking if we have any food allergies and cooked us breakfast. The meal is served in a beautiful dinning room with big old windows, also a great place to read. The local park, which is walkable from the inn, is surrounded by restaurants and other homes from the 1700's. New Milford is a cute little city that has great food and lots of history! The innkeeper Antonio was beyond helpful! He made sure we all had things to do in the area (like Saturday's farmer market at the park) and was a really kind person who would talk to us everyday. When I am in the area, I'd love to stay at the Homestead Inn again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Homestead Inn not long ago. Upon a friend asking for a suggestion of where to stay in the area, I immediately knew where to point them.Excellent parking and within a short walk of both food establishments and the town center. Clean rooms (not even dusty furniture) and great bedding. Staff were super pleasant. Excellent breakfast. Overall great ambience and good interior design.Poster child example of a great B&B.

As for my first B&B experience was very good. The room was nice and heated and had a comfy bed with extra blankets and pillows. The lobby decorations were very festive, a lot more effort put in compared to other hotels which just some lights. The tea and coffee selection was good also. The breakfast experience was very good too. Did not have to wait long and a good breakfast too. Will come back but trying different room next time.Walkability: Very close to town center.

My stay at The Homestead Inn in New Milford, CT, was a delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in the charming town of New Milford, the Inn is a historical gem, offering guests a taste of classic New England hospitality since 1928.I had the pleasure of staying in the Vineyard Room located in the main house on the second floor. The room was immaculate and just the right size, offering a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The highlight of my stay was the delicious sit-down breakfast served in the morning. I indulged in a delightful meal featuring a delicious parfait to start then scrambled eggs, bacon, and a freshly made waffle – a perfect way to start the day.One of the notable aspects of The Homestead Inn is its serene ambiance. The night was incredibly quiet, providing a peaceful atmosphere for a restful sleep. Additionally, the convenience of parking in the rear of the Inn made it easy for guests with vehicles.I also appreciated the Inn's commitment to sustainability, with the presence of two Tesla Connectors offering up to 16 kW charging. This eco-friendly initiative aligns with the overall charm and warmth of the Inn, showcasing a thoughtful approach to guest services. The Homestead Inn exceeded my expectations not only in its accommodations and amenities but also in its exceptional service. The staff, including the attentive General Manager, went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Their warm hospitality and willingness to assist with any requests added a personal touch to the overall experience. It's evident that the team at The Homestead Inn takes pride in providing outstanding service, making guests feel truly valued and welcomed. This dedication to guest satisfaction further enhances the charm of this historic inn, making it a standout choice for travelers in New Milford, CT.Overall, my stay at The Homestead Inn was a memorable and enjoyable experience. The combination of comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfast, and the Inn's historic charm makes it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the scenic beauty of Connecticut's Housatonic Valley. I highly recommend The Homestead Inn to travelers seeking a cozy retreat in a picturesque New England setting.

What a treat! The Homestead Inn is perfect. It’s safe, quiet and picturesque. The staff is kind and on point with every interaction. The location is right off the New Milford town green, so you can stroll to all of the quintessential, small town CT shops and restaurants. Our breakfast was delicious and prepared just for us at the time of our choosing. Our rooms were comfortable, spotless and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed coffee in the living room and (our own) cocktails on the front porch. Can’t wait for a reason to return.

My friend and I wanted to take a girls' trip to a small town in CT, during the fall-time and see some Gilmore Girl type-stuff. Well, we were sadly disappointed by the lack of Gilmore Girl resemblance BUT our trip was really made a complete success because of this place! This is the first bed-and-breakfast we've ever stayed in and we would really love to come back. When we arrived on Friday, we showed up at 11am and wanted to see if our room was ready and surprisingly it was! So we were able to check in early. Antonio, the Innkeeper, was super friendly, set us up in our room right away and gave us a Gilmore Girls brochure because he was guessing that was why we were there. The room was so cute and extremely clean. It was a bit smaller than the pictures but was great for our needs. There are 5 rooms on the 2nd floor and even though the rooms were close together, the walls are extremely thick so you can't hear any noise. Antonio also recommended we go to the Farmers Market that happens on Saturday and we're so glad he told us about it since we went and it was exactly what we were looking for (and even picked up some tasty treats!)During our two-night stay, each night after we were done with our day activities, we hung out in the dining room and talked, helped ourselves to the treats that are on the counter and enjoyed the soft ambiance of the room. There is smooth jazz playing the entire time while you're there and the lighting of the candles and chandeliers were perfect. I can only imagine how beautiful they decorate for the holidays as they did such a great job just with Fall! The breakfast set up is great - I definitely suggest signing up to stay in the main house (if you're able to get a reservation before it's all booked up) because it's just a beautiful place, so comfortable and cozy and the women, including the General Manager, serve breakfast - they're so friendly and accommodating.HIGHLY recommend - we will most likely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We stayed in the aptly named Kennedy room. It is adorned with a variety of photographs of the late President Kennedy along with older pictures of the Kennedy clan from the 30's and 40's. Along with the photos is a copy of PT 109 and a copy of the Warren Commission report. On one of the nightstands is an elephant. It seems the designer of the room was not without a sense of irony.
