Very expensive place. Was charged way too much money for the repair. I don't recommend motorworks.

Waste of time to get a tune from them and clearly have no experience in tuning

Motorworks, Inc. in Bethel. Beware!! DO NOT USE, THEY ARE THIEVES! They recommended OEM pads and rotors from Land Rover. I paid $1900 for the brake job. They had my SUV for three days with excuse after excuse of Land Rover sending them the wrong parts. Two months later the rear brakes were squeaking and there was an excessive amount of brake dust on the wheels and my rear bumper. When I brought it back, the mechanic said they would replace the pads and rotors on the rear under "warrantee". Without taking it for a test drive and telling me it must be the calipers not greased enough, that was the red flag! I brought it home, looked closer and saw the CarQuest stamp on the pads and the rotors were not the same as the front. I still played stupid when I brought it back for the "warrantee" replacement. When I picked up the car after they replaced the rear pads and rotors, the mechanic told me it was squeaking because my wife ran over saw dust. I went off on both the mechanic and owner, the owners excuse was they put on the cheap ones because Land Rover still send them the wrong parts. They tried getting away with until the cheap parts they put on started squeaking! Do not trust them!!

I have an 05 350z I was looking to get tuned, im from Ny and couldn’t find any shops I was comfortable with tuning my car in my area . I find RDZ on rev ups website as a pro tuner, I gave Rich a call and he was very helpful and speaking to him I could tell he was very knowledgeable about Nissans and tuning , I made the trip 2 hours and 30 min and got to his shop first thing in the morning and he got the car tuned abs I will say the car drives like new it has so much more throttle response and noticeable HP. While rich was doing his thing tuning the car I noticed I burned up a tire on my trip down because my tires have a very aggressive camber I had mentioned it to Rich abs before I knew he was making phone calls trying to find me tires to have a safe trip back home . All said and done I got recommended to a awesome tire shop who got me in and out and Rich did an amazing job tuning my car the trip was definitely worth it I highly recommend Rich for any type of performance needs or tuning

I brought my 2012 SUV there with a blown engine as a woman who knew nothing about cars I trusted a friend of mine that recommended I go to Motorworks. I am so glad I did Gus the mechanic is absolutely the nicest person ever & a great mechanic. He did exactly what he had to do with my new engine in the time frame & price that he told me it would be. The owner Bob was wonderful to me & I will defiantly be telling more of my friends to go there. Thank you Motorworks for saving me so much money & not buying a new car in this crazy year of prices for them.

Rich is awesome when it comes to Nissan Zs. I try to do most of the work on my 350Z myself, but when there is something too challenging or too time consuming I trust Rich to do it, even though I usually hate having anyone else touch my car. RDZ tuned my Z and has done several other modifications. The prices I paid at RDZ were lower than I'd pay at a Nissan dealer, and I know I'm getting a great mechanic when I come here unlike at Nissan dealers. I live far away, but Rich fit me in on the day and time that fit my schedule. Definitely recommend this place for any Z owner.

So my car could never pass inspection 2+ years after these guys worked on it. I went to a nationally known SEMA winning shop and they have pics that my exhaust had multiple leaks on the downpipes and the studs were broken. All fixed and now it is perfect. So, if you guys want this kind of work done on your car, please go ahead. I have pics that show all the"great work" RDZ did. Use them at your own risk. So how funny do you think it is now?

Just the nicest owner and mechanic I could ever expect. These people go above and beyond for the customer and make you feel like you matter. Bob the owner is a man of integrity and Gus the mechanic over extends himself to the customer and has no limits when it comes to wanting to help the customer. I cannot say enough good things about these people but I think it is a HUGE thing to know that when you take your car to motorworks in Bethel you are going to be dealt with fairly and honestly and you will never have to worry about being set up or preyed upon or lied to just so they can maximize their profits like all the other mechanic shops and dealers are known for. This is the mode of operation for others not for the people at Motorworks in Bethel CT.

We had Rich change the clutch in our 300zx. Very soon after getting the car back my husband noticed the clutch starting to slip. Rich basically did his smooth talking, your car is old and falling apart routine. Within a week the car was leaking huge amounts of oil. Rich got very defensive when we told him about this he said " I guess I'm the bad guy since I was the last one to work on the car". After arguing with him he finally said to bring it back and he would look at it. Since he is over an hour away and we would have to tow the car to him we decided against it. His behavior, and lack of any responsibility to the problem we were having with the clutch he just changed didn't give us a good feeling. Finally, months later we had the money to bring it to someone else and we were informed the spring needed to prevent the rear main seal from leaking was missing and all the bolts to the rear main seal were hand tightened and now loose. Very clear the rear main seal was not installed properly. These were the words of a very experienced mechanic who has been in business a long time. This is extremely sloppy work and cost us a lot of money. I would advise against bringing your car to RDZ.
