Banked with them for many years. Technology updates are always slow and lagging the big N.A. banks. Interest rates are generally good and employees are great. Issue is with the systems. Had a car loan that I paid off and they sent the title to my old address. I updated my address immediately upon moving and the loan wasn’t satisfied for another year. When I called to inform them they informed me they lost the title and then made me pay $25 to the DMV to request and would only provide a lien release letter. They very well could have provided a credit to my account to reimburse me for their mistake or facilitated the replacement request (they were on file as the lien holder). I shouldn’t have to argue the ethics surrounding the situation they caused amongst the bank employees. Ultimately I had to pay for their mistake because they would only provide a lien release letter.

I would give no starve, but they do not let you ! This is the worst credit union/bank ever ! I had them for maybe two years they’re that time I got my account broken into my identity stolen and then they just let anybody randomly take money out of my account. I had Hertz taking $300 out of my account and it would be 600 or 900 sometime and as a single parent with a child I live check the check. It is not easy when you tie my money up and then blame me. They actually had the nerve to blame me and told me I should be using the credit card instead of my debit card. I could use whatever I want. Nine but when my account went into the negative because of the situation that they could not stop, they would charge me 30 hours for every transaction that went in after that for overdraft fee but what they don’t understand is I only authorized hurts to take out 300 not 900. I only authorized T-Mobile to take out 200 not 600 but then when I go into the bank to talk to them, they tell me that it’s my fault and that they have no control over how much is taken out if I give them permission to go into my account they could take as much as they want out and I said no I recorded my conversation because I call every week with her and I tell them that I approve $300 to be taken out and she didn’t want to hear the recording she didn’t care she just said once I authorize it they could take out as much as they want and they can’t stop them . What !?!?!?! Then with her nasty attitude, she tells me do you wanna leave your account with us or do you wanna close it? Excuse me !!!!!!! Then I walk out of the branch immediately go into my car and write a review online and as I walked out the door, I told her OK give me back my ID. I will keep my account open and I will let the Internet handle this right when I went out to my car, I drove off the property went across the street into the parking lot and made a review, three hours after that, I got a phone call from the Wethersfield Police Department stating that they would not want me back in that Branson. They are closing my account and I am no longer allowed in any branch. What ?!?!?! So now they close my account with it in the negative wouldn’t let me even settle up my account because she read my review and I did not know her name so I said the lady with the mushroom cut with a bowl cut so she probably got offended, took it personally And close my account because I was trying to talk to her, but she kept telling me she was blah blah blah Two in her own horn
Do not trust these people with your money I promise you they won’t let any company take whatever they want out of it ! I have my screenshots in my and they can’t come up with an excuse why it happens they just keep blaming her or T-Mobile or every other credit card payment and I didn’t get charged three times so it is not hurts. It is the bank. Why are they letting people go in and take as much money as they want whenever they want !
DO NOT TRUST YOUR MONEY WITH DUTCH POINT CREDIT UNION !!!!!

I have been a member for more years than i can remember, starting in Wethersfield. I have always had a good experience with everyone i have worked with here and i have even referred a friend here as well. Everyone here in Newington is very nice and always eager to help. I anticipate a long relationship with Dutch Point Credit Union.

I called Dutch Point today to inquire about auto loans and I got hung up once. When I called back the rep put me on hold for a moment and I could tell I was longer on hold because I could hear talking and when I said "hello" the rep told me she was talking to her boyfriend and never asked how she could help me, etc and got hung up on it disconnected again! Horrible experience!

I give this place a 1 star because it dosen't allow me to choose no stars. I went into this bank to get a money order or a certified check. The young man behind the desk was pleasant. He asked the women if they do money orders if someone dosen't have an account there, and she looked at me with disgust then put her head back down and shook her head no. So then I asked about certified checks and she said nope still while not looking at me. I was a bank manager and that should have been when they asked me to open an account there or at least be more pleasant so I would want to open one. I would not recommend this location. #customerservicenightmare
