After looking for a new eye Dr I just to go to Walmart in Newington. I have found a very nice place everyone was nice and friendly also Dr. Tran was amazing he explained everything. I was very pleased with the services at this location thank you.

Recently had a very disappointing experience with this office. The same day I received my glasses I had a complaint about the prescription, I had to wait another 2wks( with no glasses) for an appointment to check them. That should had been my first red flag, but if I'm being honest the first appointment should had been my red flag. The first receptionist that greeted me was not the nicest person, very dismissive. So I was helped by someone else she helped me pick my glases. As soon as I walked in the building I received nothing but rudeness and attitude. I still sat there and waited. Was I late? Yes. Did I know I would have to wait ? Yes. But so did everyone else because the receptionist pointed at everyone sitting while informing all of us that I was13mins late and three customers took my time slot. I was taken back by the attitude but I waited. I had to ask for my glasses to get checked while I sat. I honestly thought that i was going to be in and out but that did not happen. I end up calling my insurance company to ask about me being charge again for this appointment. After 45min the doctor comes out to get me and while I'm on the phone with customer service for my insurance the receptionist with an attitude once again is telling me basically to get up and go in the back or he will have another person who by the way came in later will take my place . He also said this with the attitude in all in front of the provider. I was over the disrespect. I told the receptionist that he was rude and unprofessional and that this whole experience and the way he had been treating me was unnecessary, I've been nothing but but corgal even with the unprofessional ism. The way he spoke to me could be heard by the insurance provider. The insurance provider ask me if the voice she heard was the doctor. When I told her that it was the receptionist and the doctor was next to him.She told me to have them issue me a refund so that I can go someplace else. So I did just that.

Went here in January glasses came in ended up having issues with them very blurry so I returned them. 2 weeks ago I go somewhere else to get glasses come to find out my eye Dr NEVER REFUNDED my insurance. Called talked to manager said he would put request in. Call insurance today as 2 weeks should've been enough time and my insurance said they never got a request. Call back ask manager for billing # he said there is no number everything is done in email. I call a different location that was extremely helpful and kind and guess WHAT I GOT THE NUMBER!!! Call and talk to someone and guess what she SEES NO REQUEST no notes NOTHING!! THIS MANAGER who oversees both newington ct locations clearly should not be a manager!! Awful experience. I had no intention of getting new glasses as I love ones I have but actually found similar ones else where and decided to get since insurance covers them and I only pay $30! If I never went to get new glasses I would've NEVER known this place kept my insurances money. SMH AWFUL PLACE DONT recommend and of you do go and return MAKE SURE THEY ACTUALLY DID IT!!!

Showed up for a OCT scan. Waited 15 mins for them to realize they had to refer me to another location and made me a new appointment same day which I didn’t ask for. Instead I called and made my own appointment for the day later and the other newington location literally talked to me like I was a terrible person for missing the appointment I DIDNT MAKE. Save your time and go to a real optometrist

Outstanding customer service, examination and care. Very genuine & welcoming. I left there last week In a great mood thanks to them, I knew I would be in good care.My glasses arrived 2 days ago and I can see better than ever before with this pair. They gave me much needed recommendations for modifications as well as which pair looks good on me (felt like every other pair I had made me look awkward but I can rock with these) my performance at work has improved thanks to my precision. I heavily recommend them to anyone. I might be back soon for some sunglasses. Thank you!!!Also, I saw the awful reviews and I just don't see that happening here. You can tell they genuinely focus on service and your vision.

Honestly blows any other MyEyeDr location out of the water. Staff is great, service was top tier, cleanliness was on point. Very rarely do I go out of my way toLeave a review on a business but Brockett street deserved one. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a new EyeDr, or not sure which location to go to.

I was nervous about going to the eye doctor during COVID and everything there made me feel comfortable and safe. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and made sure I got the best deal on my glasses. Dr. Tran is truly great, he explained things to me about my eye health that were extremely helpful. I was a new client but felt totally valued and welcome. Plus, I found beautiful new frames that I'm excited to show off on a million Zoom calls.

Dr. Nguyen Tran is so attentive and perceptive to getting the perfect prescription and looking out for eyecare and health. He is the optometrist we all need! The whole staff is very friendly and the facility is clean and welcoming. :-) Wish I could give six stars.

Went here because only eye Dr. covered by my insurance for an exam in the area. Dr. was a good experience. However, ordering my glasses was a disaster. First, waited 2 weeks for them to arrive and they were not what I ordered. They had bright yellow Nike logos on the arms and I'm a 73 year old man who does not play basketball. Tried to reorder but could not find another pair like them without the logo. In fact, there were no frames in the store with the logo, so I don't know how they were ordered. Finally, the woman waiting on me found a pair somewhat close on the other side of the store. Turns out, that was the woman's side but she never mentioned they were woman's glasses. So, I wait another 2 weeks for them to come in and finally call to see what the hold-up is. Was told they came in scratched and were sent back. So, I wait an additional 2 weeks and today I go to pick them up. I had included a lense from my old glasses to match the blue tint on the new glasses. New glasses came in a shade or 2 darker and i noticed the PINK Nike swoosh on the arm of the new glasses. Now these are $300 glasses after all the discounts. I never once, during the 6 weeks I waited for my glasses, got an apology from anyone I dealt with. It was more along the lines of "don't blame me, not my fault" rather than, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Needless to say, they have lost a customer. A little advice folks -- an apology goes a long, long way.

Very bad. I was stuck in the traffic and called them saying I would be 8 mins late, they forced me to reschedule and blamed me that I didn't arrange better. So I ended up with no appointment but sat in the traffic.

Dr. Aucello is amazing. She is so knowledgeable about what works and what doesn't. Even though I wear contacts, I have an astigmatism, and need reading glasses, she always gets my prescription just right. I'm willing to make the 30 minute drive to see an expert!

I will never go here again. I waited nearly 4 months to see the female eye doctor (Aucello). When I arrived the receptionist was very pushy and said she is backed up and asked me if I wanted to see the new eye doctor they just hired. It was the kind of request where if I said no I would look like j*** so I said sure. I wish I just waited and not cared because I heard the female eye doctor is the best. This man was not personable at all. I had multiple questions and he treated me like an incompetent woman. I knew after my visit with him I would never go to him again. The woman helping me with my glasses was nice but their selection was horrible and expensive. The worst was when I picked up my glasses! They didn't even provide any eye glass cleaner because they ran out... you seriously have none at an EYE doctor?? Now with billing. I went in November and just now in April am getting a bill. My insurance covers an annual eye exam 100% so I'm unsure why they are charging me nearly $200. I called to inquire and the male receptionist said he had no clue what was going on and he was going to talk to billing and get back to me that day when he returns from break. I heard nothing for 3 days. I just called back today and the female receptionist said there was no note on my file about my previous inquiry. She verified my insurance info and it matched so I have no clue why they are still billing me when my insurance covers 100%. She said they will contact me once they talked to billing. So I'm assuming I will not hear back and I'll still have an outstanding bill from this horrible place. Once my billing situation gets straightened out I will NEVER go here again. Sorry Aucello- maybe if I actually got to visit with you I would have a different opinion but this billing situation just takes me over the edge. Do not come here!!!
