The only thing I would add, is the addition of as much help in the form of very capable workers sherry has hired to allow Sherry the new manager to accomplish whatever new challenges come her way. Sherry the new manager is accomplishing what i thought was the impossible, in getting this CVS pharmacy located at 6 Queen St Newtown CT 06470 to operate at the highest efficiency. Sincerely Alex Pappas Newtown CT 06470

Newtown CVS pharmacy is a total disgrace to our community. Lines are long. Mistakes are repeatedly made with prescriptions. Pharmacist is incompetent. Truly deserves zero stars.

If zero stars were an option - that’s what it should be. The pharmacy is barely functioning. Lines are excessive and at all hours of the day. Phones aren’t answered. Prescriptions aren’t filled unless you follow up. Awful.

Understaffed is not an excuse to wait days to get prescriptions (antibiotic!) filled only to be told “We don’t have anything under that name.” I’ll take my Dr’s advice and change pharmacies.

Terrible service at pharmacy! I had to go in two different lines and then when I returned hours later like they instructed they made me return to the initial line. CVS just needs to address this…everyone in line was talking about switching their prescriptions!

The pharmacy for the Queen St, Newtown,CT store is totally disfunctional due to staffing shortages. They no longer answer the phone. Customers must drive to the store and wait in long lines to get even simple questions answered, much less prescriptions picked up. My antibiotic prescription which I needed asap took 5 days to fill. Totally unacceptable. Do something! And if no one is answering your staffing ads: FIGURE OUT WHY AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! We deserve better, and so do your current employees.

It’s awful going to your store. At least half hour for prescrip pick up, Pharmacy NEVER answers phone. Older people are nervous about portals. We also don’t like auto check out! There is never anyone in store to help and no one at front register. NOT ENOUGH EMPLOYEES! Hate your store.

I requested refill through text and the website multiple times and it was ignored, so I called and they said they'll refill it and deliver it yet somehow I still don't have my prescription and haven't for at least a week now, they sent me links that did not work. I check the status and it's been "in process" for over a week. There's always an issue every time I get my prescription, I'm definitely transferring back to Walgreens, they were WAY better and handled everything way more smoothly and never lied to me about when I can pickup. I hope I never need to use cvs pharmacy again.

I went to Urgent Care at 5 and had a prescription sent to CVS in Newtown by 6pm. My husband went there to pick it up and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. He waited in the parking lot and went back in at 6:30 to get back in line. He was second in line behind a woman holding her very sick baby, at 8pm when they abrubptly closed the pharmacy. There was zero communication that this might happen or about other stores open later or less busy. I work in a school and, as often happens, if one of my students is in crisis or misses the bus, I stay late. If for some reason I absolutely am unable to stay, I communicate with the family and ensure that the child is safe and cared for. I keep thinking about that poor woman with her sick baby- what if she needed medication for a nebulizer because he couldn't breathe? What if he had to be hospitalized because CVS employees didn't care. I am shocked that CVS can treat people's health with so little regard.

The WORST and most incompetent pharmacy in Fairfield County. Avoid unless you want a headache every time you have to pick up a prescription. Trash pharmacy, go absolutely ANYWHERE else for prescription medications. Once I switched pharmacies, picking up my monthly medications is a BREEZE. Unlike CVS, where I'd want to pull my hair out every time I'd pick up a refill.

I've been a CVS customer for some years now and lately they've really started going down hill. When they started the drive up window, I thought "good, now I don't have to even get out of the car". But now going to the drive up window means a long wait. The last time I picked up my meds, they spent more than 12 minutes with just one car, way to long a time for just one customer. The lines seem to get long and move slower than ever. Today I went up to get some meds and got into line. Again slow lines at the drive-up, and to add to that, they now close for a lunch break in the middle of the day. ( has nobody told them that they can split their lunch break so they can have someone on the counter/drive-up and not have to close?) And I never recognize the person at the drive up window any more, seems like different people now all the time. I'm getting ready to go to a different pharmacy all together.

The pharmacy is careless, undependable and slipshod. Mistakes are the norm here while confrontation with customers seems to be a game for them. The pharmacy is VERY busy and, apparently, short staffed. It's clear that they have a hard time hiring because the \\\"quality\\\" of the staff is so very poor. Unprofessional and argumentative, the counter staff (and drive thru clerk) make this one of my most dreaded chores. It is impossible to reach them by phone Thirty minute wait is common wait and is too often met with a disconnection. Whenever I have presented them with questions about my prescriptions, they either do not have the information or (MUCH WORSE) they choose to just make something up on the spot and just say it as fact (in other words LIE.) When in doubt, lie, lie, lie then deny, deny, deny. They failed to request a prior authorization from my doctor yet they LIED and told me that it WAS done. They lied to me again when I called a week later to find out about the Rx. After a full month of waiting for my Rx, I discovered that the preauthorization request was never sent to the doctor. When I called the doctor's office, the preauthorization was accomplished in about 2 minutes by the doctors office staff. Counter clerks are unprofessional and simply inconsiderate. The counter clerk who handed me my filled Rx LOUDLY ANNOUNCED the name of the drug when she handed me the bag so that everyone within earshot knew what drug I was getting and what it was for. Training for these clerks is lacking and may be non existent. Professionalism is nowhere to be found. Careless, clueless and crude. Probably the worst pharmacy in the area.
