Free to cars with in state registration. Beach is clean and lifeguards on duty during the peak season. Plenty of grills, hiking trails, bird watching opportunities and even 2 level 2 EV chargers at no cost!

This place has the train line and trains running through the park. This is crazy. I don't know who designed this place.

๐ Camped here via tent in early September. Not crowded at all. The bathrooms ๐ป at the tent campsites were closed, yet Porto potties ๐งป were located in the parking lot . ๐ฎ Garbage and recycling bins were located in the parking lot as well. Potable water ๐ฐ was available close by. Showers ๐ฟ were accessible by the beach. Each site has a fire pit๐ฅ. Nicely maintained campground. Quiet. ๐คซ. I would recommend bringing a cart ๐ bc parking was a slight distance from the tent sites. No outlets, ๐ชซ๐so here's your chance to immerse yourself in the present and put down your phone. ๐ The beach ๐ is a slight trek from the campsite. It's a pleasant walk though. You'll witness egrets, cormorants, ducks, guys and guls, Osprey and grebes. Bring binoculars ๐ฆโโฌ๐ชฟ๐ฆ๐ฆ
. Also stay on the trail ๐ฃ, if not, I hope you aren't allergic to poison ivyโ๏ธ. The marsh is entertaining. Its full of life. The beach is gorgeous ๐
The waves are subtle, making it perfect for families ๐งโ๐งโ๐งโ๐ง. There wasn't a lifeguard on duty๐. The water was pretty shallow for a long distance. There were some black flies on the beach ๐ชฐ I didn't have an issue with them, but my buddy did. There is a amtrak train ๐
that runs behind the beach. There were lots of small fish๐, a variety of crabs ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ and snails ๐. All n all, I'd come back here again.

Nice smaller size state park maybe 1/4 the size of hamanasett. The nature center is permanently closed the .You walk under the amtrak tracks to get to the beach .was not a lot of shells or rocks .The beach is not very wide not a far walk from the parking lot to the beach. No showers in the bath house

Surprising location with informative staff that were helpful with a map and location of concession area. We arrived to find a bathroom and some information about the area. But we're surprised by the beach access below the commuter train rail. Nice spot, we are planning our return visit.
