Absolutely charming. Lucas is attentive and the space is beautiful. Homemade breakfast to order is above and beyond. Lovely surrounding area. The coffee and pound cake were delicious!

Wonderfully quaint, quiet, and comfortable. We stayed in The Cottage, which couldn't be more private. The fireplace was ready to be lit, and extra wood was readily provided by our host, Lucas. The chairs facing the fire are reclining. An added bonus. Breakfast was ample and delicious, along with the friendly banter provided by our host. Definitely plan to visit again.

Was at the Blackberry River Inn this weekend. Had a great time. Wonderful room, accommodations and a staff full of people who couldn’t do enough for you. Joseph was especially ever thoughtful, pleasing and there to help and assist us. We will return.

Enchanted WeekendSet on a hillside rolling down to the Blackberry River across the street is the Blackberry River Inn, a beautiful, historic inn on the National Register. Preserving the 18th century detail and ambience, the Inn is tasteful and elegant, not 2023 minimalist bland or chain hotel faceless, but full of character and loveliness from the intricate woodwork to the many windows flooding the inn with light, from comfortable and glowingly attractive decor to the conservatory-styled breakfast room, surrounded with windows and flowering plants.Excellence in every respect is the mantra of this inn. Our experienced and hospitable innkeeper, Lucas, sees to that. Only the best ingredients are used in the varied and delicious breakfasts and all the service from the kitchen, servers, housekeepers, and all, is exceptional. There is attention to every detail and, even though we've been visiting there since 1994, this visit exceeded our expectations.

What a great little place. I was up here for a quick stay before a day at Lime Rock Park and the rooms were clean, the innkeeper was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Reasonable rates and great service make this place a slam dunk.

I really had a lovely time at this inn. I was doing some hiking in the area and needed a place to stay just for one night, and I couldn't have felt more comfortable and welcome. After a long day of hiking, what I needed most was a restful sleep. I can say this about very few Airbnbs/BnBs/hotels/motels: the room was luxurious, and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was divine. Staying at this traditional bnb was such a delight, and I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights last week, and it was the second time we stayed here. It is a wonderful place to stay--an old inn with many spacious public rooms with period furnishings. It is in a very nice setting with mountains in the distance. Breakfast was excellent, again, well-prepared with fresh ingredients, great service, and a lovely breakfast room with many windows and nice views. The inn has a good-sized swimming pool outback, up the hill, with cool, refreshing water (and no chlorine, it must be spring fed). Lucas, who is from Spain, is an outstanding host--friendly, helpful, always present, and a good conversationalist. Lucas knows the area very well for miles around--good hiking, waterfalls, cultural venues, restaurants. We attended both the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and Music Mountain near Falls Village; the inn is convenient to both. We even made a quick trip up to Tanglewood on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed our drive back to the Inn on country roads. Overall, a very relaxing get-away.

The Blackberry River Inn is an absolut must-visit B&B if you are looking for beautiful New England style with excellent customer service. Lucas was a wonderful host and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious too. The Inn is well placed to reach many quaint towns and I enjoyed the many hiking opportunities in the area. I can't wait to visit again.

Noteworthy details: This historic inn is a true gem. The rooms are spacious, the beautiful pool is a rare treat, the custom, homemade breakfasts are delicious, and the staff is both friendly and accommodating. And there are always homemade cookies and scones available for the taking. The location is within 15-30 minutes of multiple hiking areas, many with waterfalls! My husband and I travel a lot and love to stay in b&bs. This is one place where we say "They do this right."
