This store makes you feel like family. The staff is friendly, quick to help & knowledgeable on all aspects of home improvement jobs. If they don't have what you want, just ask & it'll be ordered. It's nice to support local businesses where they'll actually learn your name or help you carry stuff to your car.

Want to give a big shout out to Earl and the other gentleman (unfortunately I didn’t get his name) for helping me out last night with a plumbing issue. I didn’t realize they closed at 6pm and I walked in there at 555pm. They didn’t even flinch. They took me right to the product I needed for my repair and explained what I was going need and do to get it installed. Sink is back up and running and they have a customer for life!

I always like shopping here. It never feels like a chore or a thing “to-do”, even if it’s on my list. As soon as I walk in I’m greeted by one of the cashiers because they KNOW me. It’s a local business with SERVICE. EVERYONE is helpful, knowledgeable and there’s rarely a time that someone doesn’t offer to see if I need help finding something. It’s almost hard not to come here. And they have Everything you need, from mulch and gravel (which someone always offers me help to load) to that one weird screw that fits an old dishwasher.They are great and my number 1 place always. If they don’t have it, you don’t need it!

Country Paint and Hardware has wonderful people working there. Their patient assistance has greatly helped me in my home projects. The paint department can provide advice and consultation on colors and more. I'm happy they're close by.

I go to Country Paint & Hardware because of its convenient location. It's in the heart of several residential neighborhoods. The service is very good there as well.The downside is that you pay up for these 2 benefits. Thus the 3-star rating.

We've been coming to CP&H for 40 years now. Earl and his staff are wonderful! Always willing to help with any DIY project, paint suggestions for home, RV and boat. When we are back in town we always shop at CP&H. Thanks Earl!

Everyone at Country Paint and Hardware is devoted to helping customers find the items they need! I went in there earlier this week to get a mailbox and got excellent advice about which features were part of each mailbox and how to install with a mounting bracket. This made the whole process much easier than if I had had to buy a piece of wood to attach it to. I put up the mailbox this afternoon and it looks great! This kind of personal assistance is incredibly helpful and I have consistently received this sort of treatment in this store over the past 3 decades. They are the BEST!

Best paint shop in the area. Great hardware store with inventory of everything you could need. Pricing is usually very good- many items are even cheaper than the big box stores. Most of all though is the personal level of customer service you get from the employees, and even the owner. I'll never forget the first time I realized the caricature from the store's signage was helping me figure out a unique plumbing issue.

I've been going to Country Paint & Hardware since 1986.The owner, Earl is very knowledgeable and always pleasant. The staff is very willing to help. The paint department manager can answer any questions about painting. They have a large inventory and can order any special items if needed.I shop here at least once every week.

When I recently moved to North Branford, I received a coupon in the mail as a "welcoming gift" from Country Paint and Hardware. It was for a free tape measure and $10 off any item. I was hesitant to believe that I would be able to just walk in and get these things for free. But I went there on a whim to pick up a couple of quick things to work on my new house and it was legit. They handed me a free tape measure and took $10 off my total. Not only did they honor the coupons without question, but they were all so very nice and welcoming when I walked in. Every associate I encountered greeted me and asked if I needed help with anything. It's so nice to still see small businesses thriving and feeling that family like atmosphere in my new hometown.

I've become a regular buyer from their knowledgeable, friendly and competent staff in the paint department. Hard not to pick up a few other things when there and the occasional cup of chili is a fantastic treat

Been an essential place for not only supplies but as a resource for completing home projects. The woman in the paint department is an absolute gem in helping match paint colors. She is professional and thorough… The owner is always in the store and is always ready to help. I have been going there for the past 20 years and see no reason to change.

Came in not knowing what to use to stain a bench I had and was introduced to Pat Connolly who was so very knowledgeable and directed me to Cabots Australian stain . It was phenomenal! The bench looks brand new.I am so very pleased with Country Paint and Harware.Thank you.Give that woman a raise !!
