Service is standard and acceptable.Unfortunately, customers do not receive the "CASH PRICE" when debit cards are used. No saving, thus I would recommend ALL customers to use Credit ? rather then Debt.

Cashier always interacts with me in the highest level of professionalism. Kitchen staff are always respectful and give you your moneys worth for the sandwiches, pizzas, desserts. Great place to stop by when your want to be in and out for work break.

Best gas station I've ever been to. Staff get to know you by name. That's rare from a neighborhood gas station/ convenience store I get coffee three times a week here(every work day.)

I went here once. Very nice staff. Clean station. Honors the reward program with Shell. Would recommend... However... I wrote this review because there is something I think about every day when I drive past this station... *This station charges 8¢ more per gallon if you use a credit card.* Now, I get that sleazy credit card companies take huge cuts and that the manager of this place probably wants to reward people who use cash... But at the end of the day, the owner has to ask him/herself whether they want cashflow, or if they want to lead a grassroots campaign to promote the use of tangible currency. Why not try to maximize profits? So here is this beautiful, futuristic, brand new, clean, well-managed station nestled conveniently on a large street in beautiful North Haven, Connecticut. But then it discourages anyone with a credit card from visiting! I'm no business consultant, but a quick search found me a 2017 survey that revealed 55% percent of gasoline shoppers prefer to use credit or debit card, and only 12% have a preference for cash. Further, the trend toward credit card and debit cards is rising each year (2% from 2016 to 2017). That is a huge market share just being actively discouraged from frequenting this business! If I knowingly pay 8 cents more per gallon just because I didn't have cash on me I would feel like like an idiot. I would want to drive down the street to literally any other gas station even if it cost more. In fact, I'd rather this station increase the price by 25¢ and just make me feel like I'm getting a steal with that loyalty program. I suspect that even with a mark-up, a lot of middle and upper middle class Connecticotions would visit a credit card friendly station and think, "Oh, this is higher quality gas. Look at this well-managed station. And what a deal with this rewards program!" Modern consumers gladly pay premiums to go to nicer stations, especially with loyalty programs. That is another trend in modern consumerism: to value a shopping experience (see Whole Foods, Apple, etc.) This station would check all the boxes if it didn't market its poor value to non-cash shoppers. There is all kinds of business psychology on using price points to trick consumers but the way this station currently operates is one I just do not understand. I'm not saying it is wrong. I get the appeal of cash from the point of view of operating a business. But it just really makes no sense to me. I doubt the owner will read this review but if I could tell him/her, I would suggest to raise the prices across the board and stop charging extra for using a credit card. Don't tell your customers to their faces that they are paying extra to use their cards. That is not a fight you are going to win when you look at the numbers. At the very least, charge just 4 cents more for using a card. That way people using the ever popular 5-cents-off reward program can feel like they strategized to get a good deal. Motivate them to feel like the winner!
