“No reviews? :-( I love neighborhood places! Love supporting local businesses. Love the American dream alive and well and not being steamrolled by some millennial wine of the month club or share service or this or that "hip" nonsense. Not like I didn't do wine of the month when I was 20 in SF eons ago. Lol During ALL those years, I've never encountered a store that puts their cute little label on a wine bottle. How ingenious is that?! The Cove area is a hidden gem. You've got this wine shop, Harbor Market, local eateries and a great ice cream shop all with a neighborhood vibe which hands down beats pre-canned venture capital backed businesses, right? Omg I sound like an old Marin County hippie but they way predate me.”
“I don't understand how people are calling the owner a racist.. I've been going here for years, and this new owner is so personable and nice. I've never had an issue with them. They're very kind people. I have a sick baby and they constantly ask about him and pray for him. So if they're calling them racist.. that's bs. I'm glow in the dark white... my significant other is Puerto Rican.. and they treat us with the up most respect.”

“I do not like cold beer slightly cool yes warm definitely not but I do not like cold beer. For the last several years many years every time I've gone in there that always had a couple of single bottles tucked away on one of the shelves outside the cooler just for me. I will actually drive out of my way to go to the store.”

“Walsh's Liquor Store is a hidden gem! They have an amazing selection of liquor, from rare bottles to everyday favorites. Paul and Louie are incredibly friendly and always go out of their way to help with recommendations. During the holidays, they also offer beautiful gift baskets that are perfect for giving. The store has a welcoming atmosphere, and it's clear they care about their customers. Highly recommend it as my go-to liquor store!”

“owners are very friendly,the prices are a couple of bucks more expensive than stews or bevmax... but its not a bad place to go if youre stopping in subway which is next door,or perhaps marshalls. they have a pretty good sized variety of wine. their beer selection isnt very large though. they pretty much just got the basics. but its the best they can do really with such limited space. its way better than every other small liquor store ive ever been in. that includes norwalk and westport. plus they sell cigarettes,lottery tickets,non alcoholic beverages,drink mixes,and occasionally,for tequila drinkers,they will have limes available at the counter. opens at 9 monday-saturday,opens at 10 on sundays.”

I'm a 57 year old guy who enjoys decent bourbons and scotches.
This has a small but excellent selection of stuff you don't see in larger stores and the gentleman who runs it is gracious and super friendly.. Hidden gem”

“Definitely check out Old Post Spirit Shop!My first time shopping here was last Friday. I was extremely impressed. They have everything you need/want. Nice folks - helpful and friendly. Great customer service and competitive pricing. One of my purchases was a Macallan Rare Cask Single Malt for my husband. He can’t wait to check out the plethora of other scotches they have in stock. I’m sure he will enjoy checking out their vast wine selection, as well.”
