The elderly lady running the bookstore is always so rude and hostile each time I come in. I thought maybe it was just her having a bad day but I've witnessed her being polite and courteous to non-poc. But when I came in today inquiring if I could return a book without a receipt she screamed "Oh these people!" Angrily coming out from the back. And then proceeded to angrily tell me I couldn't, (and mind you, I don't like her tone but the entire time I remain calm and as polite as I can be to this woman despite her speaking to me with such hostility.) to which I calmly respond "okay, that's fine" but she then proceeded to call over a bilingual speaker telling her to explain to me the situation despite me speaking English the entire time to her. I'm not saying this woman has to treat me like a queen, but at least be as courteous/polite to others as they speak to her. I don't know why this woman acts with such aggression towards others but it makes going to this college's bookstore such a daunting task.Edit: I thought it was extremely rude she assumed I couldn’t speak English because of my race despite English being my primary language as I struggle to speak and understand Spanish. During the visits I did take to the bookstore I caught her on multiple occasions barking orders at the people who work alongside her, and she doesn't seem to treat them with any respect. What's that even about? I opted to get e-textbooks for this current semester due to my multiple bad experiences at this bookstore. I filed a formal complaint hoping that this experience wouldn’t ever have to repeat itself with another person. I just hope nobody else has had to experience what I had at this bookstore.

Overpriced books and school materials, anything you find here can be found much cheaper online, never buy materials here unless its your only option.
