We’ve been going to NVH for many years. Dr. Charlie Duffy and Dr. Janice Duffy, the other vets and the staff are excellent. I particularly like an open-minded yet on the conservative side approach to animal care and I’ve found this here. The doctors take time to address your concerns. They do their best to be time efficient yet they don’t hurry through exams in order to see the next patient. I and my dogs appreciate that very much. Thanks NVH for years of great care.

I've been a client here for 25 years. Sadly this practice has gone downhill. All my favorite vets have left. The owner Dr. Charles Duffy has always been my favorite but he has reduced his hours and is simply not available for urgent problems.Communication is horrible between the front staff and the vets which results in mismanagement and lack of communication with clients.I echo the complaints about not getting call backs and being charged for multiple tests without accurate diagnoses. This place is simply not what it is was and I will be looking for a new vet.

This review is for the Boarding House—I don’t typically leave reviews but I was so impressed with the treatment I received from here. I want to thank Kevin and the kind staff who answered the phone and were very patient with my questions. They accommodated me the same day and did a fantastic job!! I adopted a 13 year old Persian cat who came from a NYC shelter and had some bothersome mats in the fur around his face. I didn’t want to trim them myself as they were very close to his skin. These folks welcomed me with open arms that same day, answered all my questions thoroughly, and did not even charge me for the visit. Kevin was able to get the mats out without any sedation and did so in a kind, prompt, and wonderful manner. No charge! The front desk staff were wonderful. My thanks to Kevin and everyone at the Boarding House. A beautiful level of professionalism and kindness that’s rarely seen today. I will remain a loyal client, and I know my cat is so much more comfortable thanks to you all.

Terrible experience. Brought my sick dog to an appt on the 19th due to vomiting and a bad rash- so I thought he had an infection. He saw Dr. J. Duffy (not his typical Dr). She recommended $480 worth of assessments and told me we'd have results by Friday the 22nd. That Friday, I called at 8:30 and left a voicemail so they'd remember me. Later after 12, I called again, left voicemails, emailed, and the only way I could speak to someone was by connecting to the emergency line! Mind you, the phone has no option for "follow up" or "front office". That person on the emergency line told me Dr. Duffy had just returned that same day and she would be calling me back with results later on. So the Friday before Christmas came and went, and NO ONE called us! This doctor literally charged me $480 to take tests, of which I never got the results, and never made use of its data. I should be refunded for them not even giving me results, and not helping me with my sick 11 year old dog at all. It's like she just cared she got me to pay for tests, but didn't care about my dog, or how he was doing, or that he was sick. He was not vomiting bile, it was processed food he was vomiting. No one called to ask how my dog was doing. They didn't care and that was very hurtful. No one cared. I ended up Googling different things for my sick dog. I gave him rice and chicken, some dog probiotics I found online, Pepcid AC, and my own personal eczema cream on his rash. I am trying different things with my dog until I can find a vet who actually cares. Its unfortunate because I thought we found a vet since our initial experiences with Dr. Jbeili were so great; so I am assuming that it is this Dr. Duffy who just does not care.

Good experience except they wouldn’t let me stay in the room when it was time to put my dog down

If you care about your pet, DO NOT take them here. My dog was struggling with a bad skin condition in September. In September, the vet said it was food allergies and gave our dog cytopoint and an oatmeal bath. His issues became worse so we went to the vet again in November. The vet then said he had environmental allergies and gave him a bath and a shot of cytopoint again. This treatment plan was not helpful because the vet was NOT thorough at all. Less than a week later, I took my dog to another vet for a second opinion. My dog has a bad fungal infection in both his ears, bacteria infection over all his skin, AND FLEAS. I am so upset that our other vet did not catch any of this and provide us with a treatment plan. Also, the vet should have put our dog on a flea/tick preventative. After visiting another vet, our dog is now on an intense recommended skincare routine, multiple medications, vitamins, and is wearing a cone to stop himself from itching and biting his infections. We came back from the new vet with 10+ products/medicines to help my dog. I am sad that his conditions became this severe and wish he had more thorough and proper help earlier from Norwalk Veterinary Hospital. We will never be going back there. Please do not take your pet here.

Always appreciate the efficient service. I've brought my adult cat as well as three rescue kittens, I've been treated quite well and they do a good job at seeing us quickly when my cat was sick or injured.

Decent but unorganized. Didn’t even know they had seen my other dog at an appointment the day prior.
