I've taken my son's gloves to Nutmeg for the last number of years to get either restrung, broken in or cleaned up. Mike does an EXCELLENT job at breaking his new gloves in and love dealing with Nutmeg. We stopped by late yesterday to get a new infielder's glove broken in and Mike helped us pick out an Outfielder's glove as well from their wide selection of options in the store. We are heading to Cary, NC on Monday for the USA National 16U Tournament and needed both gloves broken in before we leave. Mike says, no problem and will get it done for us. Highly recommend this local store for anyone that plays baseball at a high level, you will receive a high level of service from Nutmeg Sporting Goods......

Best place for softball/baseball gear, cleats, running gear. If they don't have it they'll get it. Practice tees for hitting. Amazing customer service. They know their stuff for sure.

Their knowledge goes above and beyond. My son was trying out bats and they made sure we explored each one , wanted to make sure he was happy with how it felt and didn't hurry us along. Personal touch goes along way.

Best Selection, Great Service, not only five stars, these guys are All-Stars. I have been a customer of Nutmeg Sports for years. Mike and Chis are top notch professional businessmen who were all ballplayers. This store has a great assortment of baseball equipment and accessories. What I admire about both Chris and Mike is they they don't try and oversell you the product that you are looking for. Several times they have suggested to me not to buy the $300+ bat that they had in stock, that the $160 bat was not only good enough, but better than the more expensive bat that I asked for. Their collective experience has been invaluable over the years. In 57 years this is the top baseball retailer that I have ever done business with. This is my baseball go-to source and guru. I was in their today September 10th and they just received a big shipment from Marucci with dozens of new baseball gloves, a ton of bats and other great accessories. Just because it's September doesn't mean baseball season is over or shelves should be empty. In Nutmeg Sporting Goods Inventory is King 365 days a year. Thank you Mike and Chris, I love you guys and so do both of my sons....

Extremely helpful staff. They went out of their way to help me and my 11 year old daughter pick out her new fastpitch bat. My daughter had her heart set on a Louisville Slugger but we weren't sure the best way to pick out size/weight and specific model. We were taken into the back of the store and handed several demo bats we could take upstairs to the batting cages to try them out. For the uninitiated a softball bat can run over $400 so it was really nice to be able to buy with confidence.

This company is an absolutely JOKE! I ordered a glove via Amazon and when I received it, it was the wrong hand...I called on a saturday and spoke with their store clerk and he stated that Amazon can be confusing because of orientation selections. I could not get the correct glove because they did not have it in stock. I never took the wrapper off of the glove because it was the wrong hand. These people charged me $49.99 or 20% of the purchase price of $249.95 for the glove. I also paid $17.95 to send the glove back to them with $300 in insurance. The glove was for my sons 16th birthday... THANKS FOR RUINING IT! I would advise others to watch out for this company as their policy is listed under frequently asked questions on amazon and not under the policy tab where it should be...

Poor/ rude customer service, odd shipping policies, shipped wrong item I used Nutmeg through Amazon and was completely disappointed. They shipped and item with signature required but sis not state that on their policy so of course nobody was home to sign so it took 3 more days to finally get the package delivered and it when it arrived they shipped the wrong item When I contacted CS their reply was rude and showed the simply didn't care

Nutmeg Sports is a "little piece of heaven" in our own backyard for baseball and softball players. Chris Carlucci who has years of experience in coaching ballplayers, offered me great insight and guidance as to meeting the needs of my children with ALL of the TOP Brands of equipment. Their prices are VERY competitive and right in the ballpark. I travel 17 miles for the GREAT retail experience that online buying can't touch. I often find myself calling Chris on the phone, when I am in need of something, and if it isn't in stock, he lets me know when he will have if for my sons. This is a SPECTACULAR independent retailer that is with supporting!!!
