PETCO is a great idea and we shop for dog food only. I give 3 stars as all your stores are always a mess and the staff unmotivated.
Second, I'm not involved with PETA or any other Organizations but I do believe you should discontinue the sale of the animals you sell. Sad to see Ferrets, Lizards, Guinea Pigs, Fish, etc. crammed in small cages with, most likely, no interaction or Vet care. Sad. But hey, I'm here to buy dog food.

I am beyond disappointed with the grooming experience at Petco, specifically with Anna’s handling of my Golden Doodle. Despite my dog’s coat being in excellent condition and not matted as claimed, Anna decided to cut the hair much shorter than requested. This blatant incompetence has left my dog vulnerable in the middle of January’s cold weather. The excuses given were completely unjustifiable, and now my dog is paying the price for her lack of expertise.
As a groomer, Anna should understand the needs of the breed and communicate clearly with pet owners before taking drastic measures. This wasn’t just a poor grooming job—it was negligence. My dog is now uncomfortable and distressed because of her actions.
Petco needs to take responsibility for the quality of their groomers. Pet owners trust you with their beloved animals, and this experience has shattered that trust. I will not be returning to this location and urge others to think twice before entrusting their pets to this level of carelessness. My dog deserved better, and so do yours.
Petco please do not provide a canned response to this so it becomes even more evident that you simply do not care

I just moved to the CT area and regularly take my dog to get groomed every 6 weeks. I made an appointment for today at 12. I get an email in the morning saying my appointment was canceled? I call and the girl tells me she sent me a text to confirm, I NEVER got a text. So she canceled my appointment. Why would you do that? Why wouldn’t you call? she proceeds to tell me she’s so very busy so she needs to know so why don’t you call instead of canceling it? Good to know I’ll never bring my dog there.

I come here often, most of the staff is welcoming but the review is directly towards the store manager. She is rude, I have heard her speak poorly to her employees, the few times she has helped me around the store would not qualify for proper customer service. She acts like it is a pain helping customers and I have seen her many times head to the office when the store is busy, all employees are busy and there are customers waiting for service. The most recent event that cause this review is that she hid in her office and caused a few customers to stand around and wait 15+ mins to be helped. Again, all other staff members have been amazing.

Just don’t go to the Norwalk one. They are super rude. I had auto delivery for dog food each month… my dog became allergic to it so I tried to return it (3 weeks late) and they won’t take it back. Sorry sometimes personal things happen (like surgeries and relatives passing) and returning $76 worth of dog food has to take a back seat, but I still shouldn’t be penalized for it. Try to be kinder. I will definitely be shopping instead at Earth animal and Choice Pet, where they actually care about their customers.

If i could give a zero I would. The groomers are not welcoming or friendly at all. They also lied about not being able to groom my dog because I went the store they recommended and another petco and they said that it would be easy to do. 0/10

I love Petco. All of the staff are great. The only problem is that I have a pet bunny and she only loves certain food/treats. of course, the one she loves, I have a hard time getting them at the stores. I am not an online order person, I prefer to go to the store and check things out.
