So, I've never had an issue with Home Depot...I actually used to love going to Home Depot-until recently-what's up with the poor attitude in customer service at Home Depot this summer? Have literally lost hours and money all summer long and it got way worse this weekend. Spoke with Mike from Tool Rental, Jerricho, NY on the phone Sat morning who jumped down my throat from the other side of the phone and wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. When I told him I'd like a chance to speak and that I had to get off the phone soon because I wasn't feeling well and had to get to the Dr.s Appt. he kept right on yelling at me even louder "telling me, he was going to tell me how things are done around here," as if women had lost their right to vote or something and I didn't know it. In Norwalk tonight, desperate for an air filter for my new used air purifier, I had tried several times this past summer with the men of Home Depot asking for help and got no where, so did my own research. Came across Jake in the air filter aisle whom I was referred to by a very sincere nice and helpful employee, who actually walked me over to Jakes aisle and later followed up. I mean, he was really wonderful and above and beyond. A real genuine person and you can tell a good employee wherever he chooses to be employed. However, Jake, wow, what the heck, he did not want to help me from the start. He trurned his back to me and stiffened right up when I said excuse me. You know what, my bad, I shoulda ended it right there, I should have known better. I was desperate and He was delighted to nail my ass to the wall any time I tried to get a word out. As I stood there with a bandage from a recent blood draw and hospital wristband, he dissected me word by word, letter by letter, arguing in a monologue of some sort, instead of just trying to help me. After he insisted there was nothing available that I was looking for, I agreed with him and said well then he must be done with me. When he ran away to go tattletale on me for god only knows what for, I looked on the several rows of filters he said didn't exist and found exactly what I was looking for. Why do I feel like if it were another baby boomer male customer, Mike in Jericho and Jake in Norwalk would've never have treated their male customers that way? I really can't picture Mike in Tool rental in NY yelling in an accusatory, abusive manner at another baby boomer guy, "I am going to tell you the way things are done around here." Not at all, it was much more fitting for the likes of Mike and Jake to take out their frustrations on any nonsmoking minding their own business female born in the 60s and on that dares to walk or call upon their Home Depot territory. I ended up not being able to buy it after all because Home Depot doesn't take Apple Pay and the store was closing. The manager was really nice tho, he asked me what happened and said he was sorry that all happened and I couldn't buy the things I came there for.

This is such a mess. I am pregnant and waited at appliances department for 40 minutes. I literally can't feel my feet. There were no help at all. So dirty store, the stuff is so rude and unfriendly. We gave all information what kind of product we need and in the end we still got the wrong one. For what kind of job people there get money? The stuff members were just chilling there with orange flags doing nothing.

Home Depot seems to have really gone down hill. Maybe it's just this location, but I've never needed to stand around for this long simply to pay anywhere else. After 10min of employees looking at me while the shelf check out shouted "customer assistance needed" because of an item not scanning properly I left. They were all too busy talking to each other to do anything to help the growing line, or me. It's not wonder these automated machines are popping up everywhere.

I went to Home Depot South Naples to find some nails and washers and had the samples with me. Three shelf stock associates were in the fastener aisle and they all said they could not help me.even though I held up the washer to show what i wanted. The people who stock the items did not know where the items were. I had to walk across the store to customer service and another worker took me to the employee who was making keys and said she knows everything. He couldn't help me because his job was to talk to vendors. So far, four staff could not help me. The woman making the keys finished and walked me back to the fasteners aisle and had to look through disheveled shelves to find the washers which were mixed in with a box of giant screws. With all those stock associates in the fastener aisle, your shelves should have been immaculate but they looked like heck. The associate who helped me was great but the group of new associates are not customer oriented AT ALL. Come on, Home Depot, i know you can do better than the lazy employees I encountered today. you can contact me for their names if you wish.

I love this Home Depot, I've never had any issues here (unlike Stamford's location). I will say, the layout in Stamford is better and easier to navigate. However, we were able to find what we needed and were even assisted with help (because climbing on shelves is frowned upon). This location is clean and well stocked and the employees are friendly and helpful.

This really is the worst Home Depot! Dirty, disorganized, rude staff and never helpful! It's kind of astounding how much they suck! Everyone points to another person and that person is never available to assist. This is definitely the last time i come to this waste of my time store!

I've visited Home Depot today oct 28th and I could not be more pleased, when you get help from outstanding workers like ALVIN Who I believe to be the best worker here with the best customer service I have ever seen. Trust me when I say this gentleman will go above and beyond to help you with everything you need. He's the embodiment of an outstanding worker, search for him if you ever come here

This place is always a shitshow. Their curbside pickup never works. After making my husband wait 2 HOURS for a curbside pickup of a grill that we ordered disassembled, he was told they only had assembled ones. That would have been helpful to know before wasting our Sunday waiting, seeing as the assembled grill wouldn't fit in our car. Not to mention customer service is non existent, when you do happen to find someone to help you in store you have to chase them down the aisles to help you and they are never happy to do it.

The complete lack of customer service here is breath taking. I have had a dozen terrible interactions with the workers at this store, each one worse than the last. I won't waste my time listing them all. I don't know how they continue to get away with it, but I have to assume the fish is rotten from the head down.

Calling the store, was just terrible service. I felt like a hot potato being told to hold repeatedly. After 40 minutes I hung up. I think the workers simply don't want to help anyone over the phone so they just put you on hold and hope you eventually hang up.

If I could give minus stars I would. I went to pick up an order, curbside mind you. I pulled into my space entered the type of vehicle I was in (SUV) and the space number. There were a few other cars also waiting. After waiting for about 20 min an associate came out with a cart containing four boxes, which is exactly what I was waiting for (bathroom tile), however he went to a different car and proceeded to load it into the women's car with her help. She had been there before me so I assumed it was her order. Turns out it was mine. A little navy sedan is what she drove. Why enter your car and space number if the associates are not even going to look! I felt like Jerry Seinfeld picking his rental reservation that was given away. I have called the store a few times this evening hoping they had been able to solve this problem for me, but they had nothing. I was offered a $25 gift card for my inconvenience. I just want my bathroom tile sonI can have a bathroom ready for use again. Total insanity. A rating of negative 5 stars!

A necessary evil. I've spent thousands at home depot over the years and every time I go I tell myself, "this will be my last trip here!" Well I keep going back. Why? It's close, they have everything, and prices are good. But the. why the low rating? Service - or should I say lack there of. It's impossible to get help at this store. One time I went to lighting department, asked around for ~10 mins and kept getting passed around. Finally found someone and they only had time to answer one question then vanished! Quality - big box stores are good for some things. Buying lumber is not one. The twisted 2x4 you will get here is laughable. It's also a complete mess in most departments. Well, what can I say I'll keep going back but I'm not happy about it.
