Stew Leonard's is a family owned and operated farm fresh food store offering a fun and entertaining shopping experience, often called "The Disneyland of Dairy Stores." It features fun animatronics and a petting zoo. The store focuses on fresh items, with a farmers market featuring local farms, fresh beef, fresh seafood, a fresh deli, an in-store coffee roaster, and a fresh bakery famous for its bagels and apple cider donuts. There is also a huge in-store buffet, BBQ, pizza, catering, an ice cream parlor, and more. The quality of the products is outstanding. Departments are colorful, well-stocked, and in order, each with its own smell of freshness. The staff is always very nice, helpful, and courteous with a smile. While prices can be a bit pricey and not as expected, the bargains are worth searching for and you get what you pay for. Shoppers love items like the absolutely delicious salads and salad dressing, the cooked garlic and herbs shrimp, and the delicious yellow fin tuna in the seafood section, where samples are gladly offered. There are too many great items to name, so it is recommended to walk through every department and sample the apple cider and freshly squeezed juice. It is a spectacular place loved by families for decades.
Crazy big place! Tables out side to eat at. Has hot meals (anything you can want) a little farm on the side . The custard cones come with no drip around the base. Popcorn / donut shop. At the cash register they give you silver wear .it was unusually interesting. Enjoyed it very much.

This is the best place to grocery shop and just look around. Every time we are in CT we come here and just enjoy the experience. Fun little characters throughout for the kids and the ice cream is soooooo smooth. I wish we had one near us.

Stew Leonards is one of the few places i will go for USDA Prime filet mignon or ribeye steaks. Staff is always friendly, store is clean & the cashier Emily on register 9 at 11:57 on 6/15 had a beautiful smile & extremely friendly.
