Rob goes above & beyond in assisting the permiting process, from notarizing your application, providing links to important state websites, providing clear classroom instruction, and following up after the process if you have questions. Took the basic pistol class Saturday so that I could apply for my pistol permit, the Instructors were awesome and very knowledgeable, I left the class confident and knowledge of safley handling a handgun and operation of a handgun, if you are looking for a place to get your class done to get your permit look no further, I couldn't guarantee Eastern CT Firearm anymore !

Do not put anything on consignment here. The owner Robert Guest sold my rifle to a friend and gave it to him at rock bottom price. Went back a week later for my money and Robert said he had not been paid by the customer yet. Went back many times when the store is supposed to be open but nobody there. Finally went and the store was open and got paid only to find out he had my name wrong on the check. Called and left two messages that were never returned. When I finally got in touch he said the check was in the mail , never got it . Went back again for corrected check, he said check was in the mail. I never got any . I got my check an went and cashed it only to have it returned reason being incorrect account number. I went to his credit union and they found that he was missing a digit on the account number. They tried to cash it for only to find insufficient funds. I waited two more days and was finally able to get my money. This deal took two months to complete. I will never recommend this business to anyone ever.

My dad, sister, and I completed the basic firearms course and it was better than we could’ve expected. Educational, personable, and overall a great experience.

My wife and I took our course there back in june 2020. Went there to get an ar build, the guy behind the counter took my phone number and said he'll call in a week haven't heard a thing from them and that was back in October 2020!

Ultimately great service from the owner and his colleague on my FFL transfer. It's clear he runs the shop out of passion for our 2nd amendment and is not in it for the money. Limited hours especially with COVID-19 and he has a full time job on top of the business. When ammunition becomes available from the manufacturers I will definitely come back to help support this business. They even threw in some extras for me at no charge for my first firearm which was not expected. Thank you again and stay safe especially in the current pandemic!

I really enjoyed taking this class. The instructors are awesome! I didn't know what to expect and I've never used a real firearm before, but I left feeling comfortable handling one and with a significantly better understanding of what it means to own one. Thank you guys!

Eastern CT firearms with owner/instructor Rob was a good place to start you on your path to being a firearms permit holder. Rob is also a notary public which makes the process a little easier. Keep in mind Further training is a must for this hobby. Have fun on your journey.

My husband and I completed the basic firearms safety course as part of the process to obtain pistol permits, and we're more than pleased with the experience! The class was engaging and provided a very positive, encouraging environment designed for all learning styles. Frequent breaks were given in consideration of fresh air without masks outdoors and the general leg stretch as well as an ample lunch break.By the time we were ready for the range I was feeling secure about the assistance available to me as well as being prepped appropriately to handle a firearm. I knew I could ask anything and get a solid answer with visual examples. I'll be really honest... I wasn't sure about how I'd actually feel once the time came before taking the class, but when it was my turn I wasn't afraid, and my instructor was incredibly detailed, patient and more than competent in guiding me. All the instructors are impressively qualified and conduct themselves very professionally at all times.Our class took place 2 weeks from booking. I plan to take advantage of continued education here as well as bringing my business for purchases in the future.Big thanks!!
