Waiting for steamed lobsters and the kid in the seafood dept. pulled a good ole boy move gave 3 guys their packs of lobsters before I got mine. Told him I had been there first with my order and he grabbed mine from the side and finally gave them to me... I usually don't complain but that was ridiculous. He packed mine and put them on the side....

Went there yesterday with bottle returns called on the phone from bottle return room and they said somebody was coming to empty the machine after waiting 20 minutes I went to customer service desk and they told me that nobody was coming because of help shortage very poor and pathetic customer service.

so let me try to capture everything:
1.) paid $4 extra for curbside pickup. got out to help the attendant load the stuff, and they left me to load my own groceries
2.) found three (3) broken eggs in our carton
3.) frozen turkey breast we bought was beaten like it owed them money, to the point that the plastic wrapper was punctured in several places. so, when it thawed out, all the holes caused the turkey juice to leak all over our fridge and contaminate a lot of the food we had prepped for thanksgiving
4.) the manager when i called to ask about the turkey breast (i think his name was John, idk, he said he was the dairy manager) tried to argue with me about whether they could replace the turkey, despite the fact that they had sold me a damaged product. well, actually two that i've noticed so far if you count the eggs.
i don't know what their goal was for this transaction, but i know what the effect is. i will never willingly spend money at this place again

My husband went through the self check out and after ringing up his items went over and asked the staff for a bag..she said " Did you pay for it"". He said yes and she said " I need to check your receipt". Today I went through the self check out..I look older and the staff came over and stood over me and watched my every move...now I remember why I rarely shop here.

I understand that theft may be high in our area but im really discouraged that every person entering the building is treated as a criminal and that they are attempting to steal. Do better, people are spending their hard earned money with your buisness in a time that groceries are at an all time high. I work in retail so I understand theft is a problem. But after the experience I just had I think I'll buy my supplies elsewhere from now on.

As much as I love ShopRite’s bakery. Nobody’s working there. Staff will try as much as to point fingers as to whose responsibility it is. Only one person in the Deli helps out at the bakery.

Two days ago, I purchased a whole rotisserie chicken from the prepared foods department @ your Norwich location. They are advertised as"Fresh to Table". I would normally have purchased a hot one, but you had sold out. My family have always enjoyed them for many years as a meat entree for diner and as an economical meal for later in the week for sandwiches, soups and salads. See pix. The sell by date is listed as 6/17/24-guided by that I made the $7.99 purchase. What a disappointment!
I broke of a leg to warm it in the microwave. I immediately noticed the chicken appeared to be dry and yellowed and overcooked. I decided to heat it on low and slowly in the microwave to be sure. I cut off other pieces and same result. There was no part of that chicken that I could enjoy. It was really terrible. It tasted rancid, it was dry. I was able to find something else in my house to eat, but what if I had nothing else or could afford nothing else? Many people are struggling to feed their families a healthy meal. Shop-Rite-do better. You're been a staple in our community since I was a teenager. I am now a "senior citizen." I have no idea what you did and how this chicken was even offered for sale, but please rethin your internal policy about what/how foods are selected for prepared foods sale to consumers.
You have to make a profit-totally get that, but when you appear to push the envelope to determine what is "consumable"-in your favor, rather than in the best interest of the consumer-you risk losing customers and ruining a family's budget. I will be asking for a refund, but I wanted post this for others who may ot have the resources to make a second choice.
Update-after returning the chicken, the store confirmed that I made the purchase, I was issued a refund. I appreciate the customer service.
