Self check out continues the long Stop & Shop tradition of being a pain in the backside. No matter how many times I use it, it becomes stressful and troublesome. The employee manning the self checkout area is on the run constantly. Why do the self check out registers at Walmart work so much better. Stop & Shop management take heed. It's not a very welcoming experience at check out. It's the last thing, other than cost, that you remember as you head out the door. It's not a good last impression.

The Bakery has gone down hill the past 6 months….cakes are awful…staff behind the bakery can’t write on cakes….used to be so delicious and the bakery staff used to be nice…all I can think is there is a new bakery manager who shouldn’t be working there. Sad!

Not enough self checkout, only one register open it took 30 minutes from the time I got in, line to get through checkout. If you're going to force self checkout on everyone and have your customers do what your former employees used to to, then make sure you have enough self checkout. The few employees you have left were all standing around doing nothing. If they can't open a register, then add more self checkout and get rid of everyone. If your management can't see this obvious problem, then get new managers. I'm sure I won't be the only one that will no longer be shopping here. Total waste of my time. Total disregard for your customers. Highest prices. No wonder Stop and Shop has been closing so many stores.
