One of the most dishonest hotels, despite the Greenwich address. Must now be owned by a money grubbing hedge fund. Years ago my wife and I stayed there every winter a few days with the kids: great pool, lovely atrium full of trees and running water, and a lovely place to enjoy a full breakfast. Then they started charging for parking. Now, my relatives and their kids stayed there a few nights and couldn't believe the place stayed open during major renovations, with tons of dust in the air. Giant atrium is being blitzed into more rooms, and the lovely sound of some birds being replaced with jackhammers and construction. Was there a big notice on their website when the rooms were booked? Of course not. Crooks. This was beyond an inconvenience. It was just plain unhealthy, and dishonest. Even a Super 8 would not be so low class. Shame on the Hyatt and their investors. We have contacted the Connecticut and Greenwich boards of Health.

I've been staying here for years time did you make it right, so let me start off by saying that, but I shouldn't have to ask them to make it right because it should be right from the get-go... This time is what really pushed me over the edge. So the last time I stayed there was an extremely large group of unsupervised children in the pool and we ended up leaving as a result because that's why me and my daughter go. She's disabled and the pool really helps her but with a packed full full of unsupervised children giving no regard to anybody else in the pool, we were forced to leave. I got my points back and ended up coming back this past weekend and actually getting to suite which I thought would be really special for her. Upon arrival, I was told that the room is not ready even though it is check in time and they were going to add another connecting room which I thought was a Fair deal. In the meantime who went to the connecting room that was ready and my daughter and I sat there with our Jaws dropped because he could hear the housekeeping through arguing in the room next door . After a little over an hour, the room was ready and I called up the front desk to ask how to access the other connecting room and they said there is no other connecting with. I told them what the woman at the front desk said and they put a manager on who was nice about it but you told me that's not the case and this person already left so he'll talk to her... Well that sucked. Then I go check my bank account and to my surprise it shows that $100 was deducted for incidental and when I called the front desk they told me that it's $50 per room. That really would have been nice to know. Especially seeing as though that room was not ready until an hour plus after I checked in. And was offered another connecting room only to be told no and might I add about the additional connecting room and she said yes that is the case... So normally it's a hole but this time it's taken so long to get my charges back. I called it the front desk this morning and was told that it takes 7 to 10 business days whereas the last person I spoke to when I was inquiring about the $100 charge, I was told three to five business days. On top of that the suite was not sweet... Yes it was an extra room which was nice but why is all of the furniture tore up? This is the Greenwich Hyatt in Greenwich connecticut. If I wanted some half-ass room with some half-ass furniture I would have gone to stay at La Quinta or some three star hotels but I'm staying at the Greenwich Hyatt... What. The. Heck?! I've already told my daughter that's the last time we're staying there. There's pools elsewhere and now the atrium is covered up so who knows what's happening with that... I was told they're not getting rid of the atrium but I was also told it was going to be 3 to 5 business days and now it's 7 to 10 business days. I was also told that the suite was going to be nice but I had ripped furniture so quite honestly I really don't have any faith in this place anymore... It's not what it used to be. It's become trashy and the front desk staff don't know their asses from their elbows...

ALERT ALERT THIEVES THIEVES WORK HERE!! September 23 I checked out of this hotel with what seem to be a great staff trying to help me find my iPods I could see they were in the hotel somewhere but could not find them -as I was driving away to catch a plane the front desk called me and said please come back! One of our guests had them and they've been returned. We have them for you. I could not. I was going to catch a plane and they instructed me on how to set up left behind on Google. The lady on the phone talk to me through it told me she had it and then it would be in the mail that week. Once I got home and got settled, we had an extensive 12 day vacation to the East Coast about 1 October. I called back to make sure that they had been sent out that day. I was told they had another staff change and they would go down and make sure somewhere in housekeeping where there is some sort of lockbox that they were there -called me back to see that they were there and if they'd be in the mail. Situation in November was hey what's going on? -I have a gal on the phone that tells me she's brand new and that she is going to find out what the situation is. Never got the call back- call back to the front desk where a girl was extremely sweet and said she was terribly sorry, but that she was going to go down there herself and make sure that my iPods got put in the mail. . Now, this last week they have put up another new employee (are you following this?) fesheka or femsheka- I didn't write it down I'm not messing up the name to be rude.-I never kept the names before, because I believed this was a Hyatt of which I stay in all the time-but this time I got the phone call that there are no AirPods of mine anymore at this hotel. And now, three months later, she says to me with all the audacity in the world, she doesn't know that they ever had them -when it was the very front desk from the beginning, and two other employees who have them in their hands, told me how to get them sent to me, and this company failed me. They will fail you. Do not take anything worth any money. If you do, you were on your own because they will not give it back. The hotel was a nice day, but as I can see from other reviews, they are going downhill fast . And they're thieves. And that is sad- I asked will you be replacing them- you literally called to have me come back to get them- -she said she didn't work there then and they would not be replacing the very iPods they have promised for months to return- SAVE YOURSELF PLEASE

My 2 night stay in December 2023 was a good one. While the property is showing its age, they were beginning a property-wide remodel on the day I checked out. Upon arrival, the doorman and the front desk were courteous and helpful. As a Hyatt Globalist, I was upgrade to a suite, which was huge. The room was somewhat dated but clean and in good shape. Based on the remodel projection pictures, this hotel will be fantastic once the remodel is complete. I'd stay here again, even before the remodel. It'll be 5 stars once remodel is complete.

This was once a 5 star hotel but it has declined a bit in recent years. I have been staying here since 2008 whenever I've visited Greenwich and NYC, and I miss this hotel's "glory days" of pre-2020. It's still a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, and the lobby, with its plants and water features, is especially well maintained. However, certain aspects of this place that made it truly enjoyable and special have not recovered from the unfortunate Covid closure era that is long behind us. While I'm excited for the upcoming renovations, it's frustrating that there is no longer an amazing breakfast buffet or gazebo bar to enjoy while relaxing in the lobby. The updates to the pool and hot tub look very nice, but the hot tub was just lukewarm this time, and the pool appeared to be rented out to a swim school and a birthday party group both times I tried to enjoy it. This was never the case in the past. And while it's nice that this hotel now features a snack/coffee/drink shop, I miss the complementary coffee they offered for many years, as well as the option to sit by the bar and order a nice cocktail and an appetizer. I'm optimistic that with the upcoming renovations, this hotel will return to a 4 or even 5 star establishment in my mind.

Great escape from NYC. Visiting the pool at late or early hours is the best. Will definitely come back..the only thing missing is the restaurant which I was told it is being renovated! I knew this going to the hotel and it was still extremely enjoyable. The staff was also super nice and very attentive.

Really beautiful Hotel. I wanted to do a photo shoot in there. I took an actual picture just in the lobby. I go to the door and it automatically stated turning around for me to enter in. My group was ready, I ran dead smack into them when I entered. I didn't get a chance to get my photography on.

I had an professional developmental conference her to obtain my Certification Education Units to sustain my current occupational therapy license. Although, I didn't stay in the rooms, the hotel was beautiful and the environment was really relaxing. I would definitely come here just for a day or two to have a mind break. The staff were really friendly, outgoing and supportive to the professionals that attended the conference. The scenery was beautiful and really inviting.

The gardens are beautiful but the hotel is dated and the basic services like hot coffee in the morning are non existent. We stay here because it's conveniently close to our daughter's apartment, but I can't recommend it. Plus, there's always one trash can on the first floor by the elevator with overflowing trash. Always. It's kind of funny but I'm curious as to why no one seems to empty it.

I wouldn't recommend nor stay here again. It'sAn old building an unfortunately not kept up with . The wallpaper is falling off and I can see the moisture on the walls. Hopefully the pictures I post really helps the next person . It's ridiculous to have such a big chain hotel in this area and REFUSE to take care of the issues . And I use the word "refuse" because it's obvious throughout the hallways of the hotel . The air vents are so easy to just wipe down but they don't even clean that.

The Hyatt Regency Greenwich had kind helpful front desk associates but the quality is not the same as other Hyatt hotels in Florida and internationally. The lady at the front desk allowed an early checkin which I appreciated. The room was clean. Unfortunately the walls are so thin that I hear people sneezing and babies crying in other rooms. In the morning someone in an adjacent room set an alarm but did not wake to turn it off. Their alarm woke me at 6 am on a holiday.

I wanted to stay in Old Greenwich but the hotels were so astronomically expensive that we had to go a little bit further and ended up here.Booked via a third party, roughly 260$ total for 1 night stay. And that price was definitely beyond reasonable. The whole lobby is a greenhouse -gorgeous and so relaxing. Front desk, I believe his name was Andrew? and his female colleague were so helpful and simply pleasant to speak with. They answered all our questions and gave us great dinner recommendations. The room itself was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Strong water pressure and great smelling shampoo/conditioner. Unfortunately, bar was closed when we came (June 2022). Hotel only had room service so that was disappointing. I just recommend you grabbing your own alcohol from the liquor store down the street. Great location and decently priced.

While the walls are on the thin side, their beds are extremely comfortable, rooms are spacious and restrooms were perfectly stocked and clean, the stand out of the stay would have to be their breakfast omelettes - seriously one of the BEST I've ever had!! My husband and I ended up having them ordered every morning and even got other members of the wedding party to try them out for themselves and agreed. Definitely helped starting the day off with breakfast we knew we could rely on. Kudos to the breakfast chefs here! : )

I stayed here on a Friday. night at the bargain discount rate of $220 for one night. For $220, I received 2 queen beds (pretty comfortable, good pillows), a bathroom, two bars of soap, some body lotion, one water bottle that I hope was free because I drank it, and 4 Keurig pods that I took home. The room was very basic so I assume the money goes to the really nice lobby and the free coffee in the lobby in the morning and the 70" TV that's comically large for this mid-size room.
